Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max PREMIUM 2.0

Highlights

• 254 hp from a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine
• Seven seats with all-wheel drive
• 390 Nm of torque

Summary

This 2025 Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max Premium is a standout choice for GCC families, offering an exceptionally high feature-to-price ratio for a one-year-old SUV. With its grey exterior, it holds a neutral to strong resale position in the UAE market where practical tones are preferred for heat management and longevity. The 2.0-litre turbocharged engine provides the necessary power for confident highway overtaking, while the all-wheel-drive system offers stability across varied GCC road surfaces. Having covered just over 52,000 km, this vehicle remains mechanically fresh and represents a significant saving over a new showroom model without sacrificing the latest cabin technology. It is a compelling alternative for those who need seven seats but want more standard luxury than traditional rivals offer at this level.

This Car vs Other 2025 Tiggo 8 Pro Maxs

With 52,683 km on the clock, this Tiggo 8 Pro Max has been driven slightly more than the typical 25,000 km annual GCC average, suggesting regular highway use which often results in less wear on the brakes and transmission compared to city-only miles. The grey finish is highly practical for the region, showing less dust than black while maintaining better curb appeal than basic white. It presents a balanced opportunity for a buyer seeking a modern, high-spec SUV that is already past its steepest depreciation curve.

PREMIUM vs Lower Trims

The Premium trim significantly upgrades the ownership experience over the base models by including the full 12.3-inch dual-screen digital cockpit and a premium 8-speaker Sony audio system. Crucially for the GCC climate, this trim adds ventilated front seats and a more sophisticated air quality management system. You also benefit from a 360-degree camera system and an expanded ADAS safety suite, features that are often optional or missing on lower specifications.

Tiggo 8 Pro Max vs Segment Rivals

The Tiggo 8 Pro Max competes directly with the Mitsubishi Outlander and Kia Sorento, leading the segment in standard interior technology and engine torque. While rivals often rely on naturally aspirated engines, the Chery's 2.0-litre turbo provides superior mid-range pull for highway driving. Its dual-screen layout and extensive use of soft-touch materials give it a cabin feel that punches well above its price point compared to the more utilitarian layouts of its Japanese competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this 2.0T AWD model typically averages around 8.7 L/100km, performing efficiently on long cruises between emirates. Service intervals are generally every 10,000 km, and Chery's growing network of authorized service centers across the UAE and Saudi Arabia ensures reliable parts availability. While Chinese brands face steeper initial depreciation than Japanese stalwarts, the Tiggo 8 Pro Max's high spec and competitive entry price help it retain a loyal following in the secondary market.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0-litre GDI engine is the heart of this SUV, delivering a robust 254 hp and 390 Nm of torque through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. This powertrain ensures the vehicle never feels sluggish, even when carrying a full load of seven passengers. The intelligent all-wheel-drive system provides extra grip on gravel tracks or during heavy rain, while selectable driving modes allow you to optimize the throttle response for city traffic or open highway runs.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the long-distance GCC road trip, featuring three rows of seating and dedicated rear climate vents to ensure all passengers stay cool during peak summer. The panoramic sunroof adds an airy feel to the interior, while the 50W wireless charging pad keeps modern devices powered without cable clutter. Extensive sound insulation and acoustic glass help maintain a quiet environment, shielding passengers from road noise and desert winds.

Safety

Safety is a priority in the Premium trim, which comes equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite including Blind Spot Detection, Lane Keep Assist, and Forward Collision Warning. These systems are particularly valuable on fast-moving multi-lane highways like the E11. The vehicle also features a robust 9-airbag system and a 360-degree camera that makes parking this large SUV in tight urban spaces effortless.

The bottom line

This Tiggo 8 Pro Max is ideal for a tech-focused family who wants a near-new, high-performance 7-seater without the premium price tag of traditional brands.
