Summary

The 2025 Hyundai Staria Comfort 9-seater is a standout choice for GCC families and businesses seeking a futuristic alternative to traditional vans. Powered by a robust 3.5L V6 engine, it offers the smoothness and highway overtaking power required for long-distance travel between emirates or across borders. This Comfort trim strikes an ideal balance, providing essential modern tech like a rearview camera and touchscreen infotainment without the high premium of the top-tier luxury grades. In the GCC market, the white exterior is the premier choice for heat management and high resale value. Its 'inside-out' design philosophy provides unmatched interior volume, making it more spacious than nearly any traditional SUV in its price bracket.

This Car vs Other 2025 Starias

As a 2025 model, this Staria benefits from Hyundai's most refined production standards for the nameplate, ensuring any early-generation software or trim niggles have been resolved. In the GCC used market, zero-mile or low-mileage 2025 units represent a significant value play, offering a 'new car' experience with the initial depreciation already accounted for. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the region, ensuring it will be easier to trade or sell compared to darker shades.

COMFORT vs Lower Trims

The Comfort trim is a significant step up from the base 'Smart' or cargo variants, adding features that are critical for passenger comfort in the local climate. It includes rear air conditioning vents with dedicated controls and upgraded fabric upholstery that stays cooler than leather in the summer heat. You also gain essential safety and convenience tech, such as a touchscreen display with smartphone mirroring and rear parking sensors, which are often absent on entry-level commercial specs.

Staria vs Segment Rivals

While the Toyota Granvia and Kia Carnival are its primary cross-shop rivals, the Staria leads with its unique futuristic aesthetic and massive windows that provide superior visibility. Its 3.5L V6 engine is a more refined highway companion than the smaller turbocharged engines found in some European competitors. For GCC buyers, the Staria offers a wider, more 'lounge-like' cabin floor that makes moving between the three rows much easier during long family road trips.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.5L V6 is a proven powertrain in the region, typically returning between 9.5 and 10.5 L/100km depending on the load and use of the dual-zone AC. Being a GCC-spec Hyundai, this vehicle benefits from one of the most dense authorized service networks in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts are affordable and readily available. Historically, the Staria has shown strong value retention in the GCC, depreciating at a slower rate than specialized European MPVs due to its mechanical simplicity and high demand for large passenger shuttles.

Performance & Capability

The Staria delivers 272 horsepower and 331 Nm of torque, which translates to a surprisingly brisk 0-100 km/h time of approximately 8.9 seconds—unusually quick for a 9-seater van. This performance is particularly useful for merging onto fast-moving GCC highways like the E11 or E311 when fully loaded with passengers and luggage. The 8-speed automatic transmission is tuned for smoothness, providing a relaxed cruising experience even at the 120-140 km/h speeds common on regional motorways.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is inspired by a cruise ship lounge, featuring a low beltline and panoramic windows that make the cabin feel exceptionally airy. For GCC summers, the powerful air conditioning system is a highlight, featuring roof-mounted vents that ensure all three rows receive immediate cooling. The 9-seater configuration is highly flexible; seats can slide forward or back on long rails to prioritize either massive legroom or cargo space for airport runs.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive for the family-focused Comfort trim, including front and side airbags as well as electronic stability control and hill-start assist. The inclusion of a rearview camera and rear parking sensors is vital for a vehicle of this size, providing confidence when navigating tight parking spots in Dubai or Riyadh. Standard 3-point seatbelts for all 9+ passengers and ISOFIX anchor points make it one of the safest multi-passenger transport options available in the market today.

The bottom line

This 2025 Staria Comfort is the perfect acquisition for a large GCC family or a premium transport business needing a modern, V6-powered 9-seater with the peace of mind of a full GCC-spec service history.
