Summary

This 2025 Infiniti QX80 AUTOGRAPH CAPTAIN CHAIRS represents the absolute pinnacle of the model's total redesign, offering a level of sophistication that finally bridges the gap between traditional luxury SUVs and bespoke flagship cruisers. With mileage that is effectively delivery-standard, this vehicle avoids the initial depreciation hit of a brand-new showroom purchase while providing an identical ownership experience. The black exterior is highly sought after in the GCC market, ensuring strong liquidity and value retention when it comes time to upgrade. As an Autograph trim, it features the most prestigious interior configuration available, replacing the standard middle bench with ultra-premium captain chairs that transform the second row into a first-class cabin. For the GCC buyer, this specific SUV stands out because it combines a sophisticated twin-turbocharged powertrain with the reliability and extensive service network Infiniti is known for across the region. Choosing this GCC-spec model ensures full warranty support and a cooling system specifically engineered to handle the extreme heat of the Arabian Peninsula.

This Car vs Other 2025 QX80s

When comparing this specific 1591 km vehicle to other 2025 QX80s currently on the market, the primary advantage is its virtually untouched condition. In a region where the average annual mileage often exceeds 20,000 km due to frequent travel between emirates, finding a latest-generation model with such low usage is a significant find for a serious collector or family. The black exterior is a premier choice for this model, consistently ranking as one of the top three resale colors in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, which simplifies the future trade-in process. While many 2025 models are just beginning to enter the pre-owned market, this example sits in a sweet spot of availability and 'as-new' quality. It serves as a benchmark for what a pre-owned flagship should look like, free from the wear and tear typically seen on high-mileage highway cruisers. Owners will benefit from the remainder of the factory warranty and the peace of mind that comes with a vehicle that has barely completed its break-in period.

AUTOGRAPH CAPTAIN CHAIRS vs Lower Trims

The Autograph trim is more than just a badge; it is a comprehensive luxury overhaul that distinguishes itself from the Pure, Luxe, and Sensory trims through material quality and seating layout. The defining feature is the second-row captain chairs, which provide a spacious 4-seat configuration focused on passenger comfort rather than maximum utility. Unlike lower trims that utilize standard leather, the Autograph features semi-aniline leather with unique stitching patterns and quilted accents that extend throughout the cabin. Technology also sees a major boost, with this trim receiving the highest-tier Klipsch® Reference Premiere audio system as standard, an upgrade over the systems found in the Luxe or Sensory models. Furthermore, the Autograph includes specific aesthetic enhancements like unique 22-inch wheels and dark chrome trim that are not available on the base models. This trim is designed specifically for those who prioritize the executive transport experience, offering rear-seat occupants their own dedicated console and climate controls that are often optional or simplified on lower specifications.

QX80 vs Segment Rivals

The 2025 QX80 enters a competitive arena against stalwarts like the Lexus LX 600 and the Cadillac Escalade, yet it carves out a unique position with its focus on modern Japanese hospitality or 'Omotenashi'. Compared to the Lexus, the Infiniti offers a more contemporary infotainment suite and a noticeably more cushioned ride quality thanks to its advanced suspension tuning. While the Cadillac Escalade is often cited for its sheer size, the QX80 provides a more maneuverable footprint that is better suited for the tight parking structures found in Dubai's downtown or Riyadh's business districts without sacrificing interior luxury. The fuel tank capacity remains a strong point for the Infiniti, allowing for fewer stops on the long stretches of highway between the UAE and Oman. Additionally, the QX80's air conditioning system is widely regarded in the GCC as being more robust and faster to cool a large cabin compared to some European rivals in the same price bracket. This makes it a more practical daily driver for families who need to maintain a comfortable environment during the peak of summer.

Running Costs & Resale

Ownership costs for the 2025 QX80 are optimized for the GCC market, where the transition to a 3.5L V6 engine provides a better balance of power and fuel efficiency compared to the older V8 powerplants. Real-world fuel consumption is improved, especially during steady-state highway cruising between cities, though city driving in heavy traffic will naturally see higher consumption given the vehicle's mass. In terms of resale, Infiniti occupies a strong second tier in the GCC, holding value better than many American or European luxury SUVs, though slightly behind the exceptional levels seen by Toyota or Nissan's flagship off-roaders. The GCC-spec status of this vehicle is a vital asset, as it ensures the car can be serviced at any authorized dealer across the UAE, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia without the complications often faced by imported American-spec vehicles. Maintenance intervals are typically every 10,000 km, and the parts availability is excellent due to a well-established regional logistics network. Over a three-year period, a well-maintained QX80 in a popular color like black generally retains about 65-70% of its value in the local market.

Performance & Capability

The most impressive aspect of the 2025 QX80 is its new 3.5L twin-turbocharged engine, which delivers immediate torque and a much more responsive driving experience than previous generations. This powertrain makes highway overtaking effortless, a crucial trait for the fast-moving traffic on the E11 or other major GCC arterials. The automatic transmission is tuned for smoothness, ensuring that gear changes are nearly imperceptible to passengers, which enhances the overall sense of luxury. Despite its front-wheel-drive configuration in this specific trim, the vehicle maintains excellent stability and ground clearance, making it perfectly capable of handling gravel tracks, unpaved parking areas, and the occasional heavy rain floods seen in urban areas. The steering is light but precise, allowing the driver to navigate the large SUV through city traffic with surprising ease. It also retains a respectable towing capacity, making it a viable option for those who need to transport jet skis or small trailers to the coast for weekend activities.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior of the Autograph trim is a sanctuary designed to isolate occupants from the harsh outside environment of the GCC. With only four seats, each passenger is afforded an extraordinary amount of personal space, making it ideal for executive commuting or high-end family transport. The climate control system is world-class, featuring multiple zones and powerful vents that can drop the cabin temperature significantly in just a few minutes, even after the car has been parked in direct sunlight. Ventilated seats are standard, providing essential relief during the summer months. The cabin insulation has been significantly improved for 2025, using acoustic glass to ensure that wind noise and tire roar remain outside, even at highway speeds of 120 km/h. The Klipsch® audio system provides a concert-like experience, with speakers integrated even into the headrests for a truly immersive soundstage. Every surface is finished in high-quality materials, from the open-pore wood inlays to the soft-touch leather on the dashboard and door panels.

Safety

Infiniti has equipped the 2025 QX80 with its most advanced safety suite to date, ensuring comprehensive protection for all occupants. The ProPILOT Assist system is particularly valuable for long desert drives, combining adaptive cruise control with steering assistance to reduce driver fatigue. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are essential in the multi-lane highway environments of the UAE and Saudi Arabia, where fast-moving vehicles can appear suddenly. The 360-degree camera system provides a 'birds-eye' view, making it much easier to park this large SUV in tight spaces without the risk of scuffing the premium 22-inch wheels. Forward collision warning and autonomous emergency braking provide an extra layer of security against sudden stops in city traffic. Furthermore, the vehicle's structural integrity and multiple airbag curtains provide high levels of passive safety, consistently earning top marks in global safety assessments. This suite of features ensures that whether you are navigating a busy school run or a cross-country trip, the vehicle is constantly working to prevent incidents.

The bottom line

This 2025 Infiniti QX80 Autograph is the perfect choice for the GCC buyer who wants the very latest in Japanese luxury without the waitlist of a new showroom order. It offers the most prestigious seating configuration and color combination available, making it a high-value opportunity in the current market.
