Summary

This 2025 MG 3 Comfort is a nearly-new entry into the compact hatchback market, offering a modern feature set and significant value compared to long-standing segment rivals. In the GCC market, its white exterior is a highly desirable choice for heat reflection and long-term resale stability. With under 50,000 km, this car provides a balance of modern tech, including a large digital display, and the reliability of a naturally aspirated 1.5L engine suited for regional stop-start traffic. It stands out by providing features like rear AC vents and an electric parking brake that are often missing in entry-level competitors. For a GCC buyer, this is a practical, fuel-efficient commuter that remains under manufacturer warranty protection.

This Car vs Other 2025 MG 3s

At 48,400 km, this MG 3 has been driven slightly above the typical annual average for the UAE, which often sees high highway usage. However, as a 2025 model, it represents the latest third-generation design, ensuring you have the most up-to-date safety and infotainment tech available in the lineup. The white exterior is the most popular choice in the GCC, offering the best resistance to the summer sun and the strongest demand in the used car market.

COMFORT vs Lower Trims

The Comfort (COM) trim is the mid-range sweet spot for GCC buyers, adding essential upgrades over the base Standard trim. Most notably, it includes dedicated rear AC vents—a critical feature for passenger comfort during the local summer—alongside 16-inch alloy wheels and an electric parking brake with auto-hold. It also upgrades the cabin with more premium materials and the full 10.25-inch touchscreen interface with integrated smartphone mirroring.

MG 3 vs Segment Rivals

The MG 3 competes directly with the Toyota Yaris and Kia Rio, distinguishing itself with a much higher level of standard technology for the price. While rivals often charge extra for digital cockpits or 360-degree cameras, the MG 3 leads with a more modern interior layout and a larger infotainment screen. It also offers more boot space than the Toyota Yaris, making it a more versatile choice for small families or grocery runs.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 1.5L engine is roughly 6.1 L/100km, making it very economical for daily commutes between Emirates. MG has a rapidly expanding authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts and maintenance are easily accessible. While it depreciates faster than Japanese brands initially, the long-term 6-year/200,000 km warranty provides significant value protection for the second owner.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5-litre 4-cylinder engine produces a reliable 109 hp, paired with a smooth i-CVT transmission that features simulated gear shifts for a more natural feel on the highway. It delivers a top speed of 185 km/h, which is more than adequate for GCC highway speeds and overtaking. The light steering and compact 4.1-meter length make it exceptionally easy to park in dense urban areas like Downtown Dubai or Riyadh.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is surprisingly spacious for a sub-compact, featuring a 7-inch digital driver display and a 10.25-inch central touchscreen. Comfort is prioritized for the local climate with a powerful air conditioning system and rear-seat ventilation, ensuring all five passengers stay cool. The modular interior design includes 25 smart storage spots, providing plenty of room for phones, water bottles, and daily essentials during long drives.

Safety

Safety is managed by the MG Pilot suite, which includes Electronic Stability Control, Hill Start Assist, and a comprehensive airbag system. The 2025 model earned a 4-star Euro NCAP rating, benefitting from improved crash-avoidance technology and a reinforced chassis. Features like rear parking sensors and a high-definition rearview camera are standard, providing extra security during tight maneuvers in city traffic.

The bottom line

For the daily commuter looking for 2025 technology and GCC-essential cooling at a pre-owned price, this MG 3 Comfort is a smart, warranty-backed alternative to older, more expensive rivals.
