Summary

This 2025 MG One LUX is a compelling modern crossover, offering the highest level of technology and safety available in the model's lineup. With a black exterior that ensures high resale liquidity in the GCC market, this vehicle balances turbocharged efficiency with a distinct, athletic design. Its mileage is notably low for a 2025 model year, representing a near-new opportunity for buyers seeking modern features without the new-car premium. MG’s growing authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia makes it a practical choice for long-term ownership. For a buyer looking for a high-spec daily driver that feels premium inside and out, this GCC-spec LUX trim is a standout option.

This Car vs Other 2025 MG Ones

At 35,729 km, this vehicle is well within the expected usage range for a modern SUV in the GCC, where annual averages often reach 25,000 km. The black exterior is among the most sought-after colors in the regional used market, providing a significant advantage for future resale value. As a 2025 model, it benefits from the latest software calibrations for the digital cockpit and transmission.

LUX vs Lower Trims

The LUX trim is a significant step up from the STD and COM variants, adding the full MG Pilot ADAS suite, which includes lane departure warning and blind-spot detection. Inside, it features a panoramic sunroof and dual-zone climate control with a PM2.5 air purifier, essential for maintaining cabin comfort during intense GCC summers. It also replaces the standard 18-inch wheels with more aggressive 19-inch alloys and adds a 360° HD camera system for easier urban parking.

One vs Segment Rivals

The MG One leads rivals like the GAC Emzoom and Haval Jolion by offering a wrap-around 30-inch triple-screen display that creates a more immersive tech environment. Its 1.5L turbo engine provides 181 hp, giving it a power edge over several naturally aspirated competitors in the compact crossover segment. Additionally, its SIGMA platform architecture allows for a more sophisticated multi-link rear suspension, resulting in better stability on high-speed UAE motorways.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 1.5T engine typically averages between 7 and 9 L/100km in mixed GCC driving conditions, making it an efficient commuter for those traveling between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. MG provides an extensive authorized service network across the UAE, KSA, and Kuwait, ensuring parts availability and reliable maintenance. The MG One has shown steady value retention, benefiting from the brand's rising popularity and the strong demand for high-tech, GCC-spec SUVs.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5L turbocharged engine delivers a verified 181 hp and 285 Nm of torque, providing responsive acceleration that is ideal for quick highway overtaking. The CVT transmission is optimized for smooth power delivery in stop-start city traffic while maintaining efficiency at cruising speeds. With a 0-100 km/h time of 8.8 seconds and a top speed of approximately 180 km/h, it offers a confident driving experience across all emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is defined by its driver-centric 30-inch triple-screen setup and premium leather-style upholstery. The dual-zone air conditioning is specifically calibrated for the regional climate, ensuring the interior stays cool even when temperatures exceed 45°C. Practicality is managed through a 336-litre boot that expands to 1,120 litres with the rear seats folded, providing ample space for family road trips or grocery runs.

Safety

Safety is a priority in the LUX trim, featuring six airbags and a comprehensive suite of active technologies. Standard systems include Front Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Lane Keep Assist, which are particularly valuable on fast-moving multi-lane highways. The 360° camera provides a high-definition view of the surroundings, significantly reducing blind spots during lane changes and parking maneuvers.

The bottom line

Perfect for the tech-forward professional or small family, this MG One LUX offers a top-tier features list and low mileage in a high-resale color, making it one of the strongest value propositions in the current GCC used market.
