Summary

This GCC-spec crossover is a standout choice for those seeking European design flair without sacrificing everyday efficiency. With under 28,000 km, it sits well below the typical annual mileage for a vehicle in this region, ensuring plenty of mechanical life for its next owner. The Grey exterior is a highly practical choice for the local climate, maintaining its appeal in the secondary market. As a modern coupe-SUV, it offers a more athletic silhouette than traditional rivals while providing the ride height and visibility local drivers prefer. It is a stylish, fuel-efficient commuter that handles the unique demands of GCC highways and city traffic with ease.

This Car vs Other 2025 Arkanas

With just 27,934 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven less than the average GCC car of its age, which typically sees 20,000 to 25,000 km per year. This lower usage translates to less wear on the suspension and interior components, a distinct advantage for long-term ownership. The Grey finish is one of the most resilient colors for the region's dust and heat, significantly helping to maintain a high resale value compared to bolder, more niche shades.

EVOLUTION vs Lower Trims

The Evolution trim provides a well-rounded technology suite, featuring a 7-inch digital driver display and a large central touchscreen with smartphone integration as standard. Unlike base models in other markets, this GCC Evolution grade includes essential local comfort features like automatic climate control with rear vents to ensure rapid cabin cooling during peak summer. It also benefits from 17-inch alloy wheels and LED Pure Vision headlights that improve visibility and aesthetic appeal over lower-specification entry models.

Arkana vs Segment Rivals

The Arkana sets itself apart from traditional crossovers like the Kia Sportage or Toyota Corolla Cross by offering a sleek coupe-SUV silhouette that is usually reserved for premium luxury brands. While its competitors focus on boxy utility, the Renault provides superior aerodynamics and class-leading fuel efficiency, making it cheaper to run for daily commuters in Dubai or Riyadh. It also boasts a significantly larger boot at 513 litres compared to many compact rivals, proving that style doesn't have to compromise storage.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel efficiency is a major strength, with the 1.3L turbocharged engine averaging roughly 6.2 L/100km in mixed GCC driving conditions. Service intervals are typically scheduled every 15,000 km or 12 months at authorized centers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the wider GCC, ensuring reliable maintenance through an established regional network. Historically, the Arkana shows stable value retention, typically holding approximately 60-65% of its value after three years, outperforming many niche European competitors in the local market.

Performance & Capability

The 1.3L 4-cylinder engine, developed in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz, produces 155 hp and 262 Nm of torque, providing plenty of punch for overtaking on fast-moving highways like the E11. Paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, the power delivery is smooth and responsive, reaching 100 km/h in approximately 9.1 seconds. With a ground clearance of 199 mm, it easily navigates high speed bumps and uneven sand-swept roads common in suburban areas.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed with the GCC driver in mind, featuring a high-efficiency air conditioning system that is purpose-built to tackle 45°C+ summer days. The seating layout is comfortable for four adults, offering ample legroom in the rear despite the sporty sloping roofline. Interior materials are a mix of soft-touch plastics and durable fabrics, ensuring the cabin remains quiet and well-insulated from exterior road noise during long-distance drives across the Emirates.

Safety

This trim is equipped with a comprehensive safety package including multiple airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Hill Start Assist, which is particularly useful for stop-start city traffic. It also features crucial driver aids like blind-spot monitoring and front and rear parking sensors with a rear-view camera, providing extra confidence when navigating busy urban environments. These active systems work together to provide a 5-star safety experience for both driver and passengers.

The bottom line

This 2025 Arkana is the perfect opportunity for a buyer wanting a nearly-new, stylish European crossover with low mileage and the security of a GCC-spec cooling system and service history.
