Tesla Model Y LONG RANGE

Highlights

• 533 km electric range (WLTP)
• 0–100 km/h in 5.0 seconds
• 250 kW peak DC charging

Summary

This 1-year-old Tesla Model Y Long Range offers a strategic entry point into premium electric motoring in the UAE. With 43,000 km, its mileage is slightly above the GCC annual average for a one-year-old car, but this is well-compensated by the significant savings over a new purchase and the inherent durability of a dual-motor electric drivetrain. The white exterior is the top-performing resale color in the regional market, providing excellent heat reflection and long-term value retention. As a Long Range AWD trim, it balances rapid performance with the maximum range available in the lineup, making it ideal for cross-emirate commutes. For any buyer in the GCC, the access to the dedicated Supercharger network remains the single most important factor for stress-free ownership.

This Car vs Other 2025 Model Ys

While 43,000 km is higher than the typical 20,000 km annual average for GCC cars, it indicates a vehicle primarily used for efficient highway cruising between cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi. This usage pattern is often gentler on the suspension and battery health than stop-start urban traffic. The white finish is a major advantage for local resale, consistently fetching higher prices in the used market compared to darker alternatives.

LONG RANGE vs Lower Trims

The Long Range trim is a significant step up from the standard Rear-Wheel Drive model, adding a second motor for All-Wheel Drive stability and a larger battery pack for superior highway endurance. Inside, you benefit from the premium 13-speaker audio system and heated seats for all passengers, features that feel standard at this level but are often stripped back in entry-level variants.

Model Y vs Segment Rivals

The Model Y leads rivals like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and BYD Atto 3 primarily through its integration with the Tesla Supercharger network, which remains the most reliable charging infrastructure across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. It also offers a superior 854-liter cargo capacity, outclassing most European electric crossovers in the same size bracket, making it the more practical choice for families.

Running Costs & Resale

Maintenance is exceptionally low compared to petrol SUVs, with no oil changes or spark plug replacements required; Tesla recommends simple tire rotations every 10,000 km and a brake fluid check every four years. Authorized service centers are widely available in major UAE hubs, ensuring professional software and hardware support. While European luxury EVs can see steep 15% annual depreciation, the Model Y's strong regional demand helps it hold value better than most in its class.

Performance & Capability

The dual-motor setup delivers 372 hp and instant torque, resulting in a 0-100 km/h sprint of just 5.0 seconds that makes highway overtaking effortless. The All-Wheel Drive system provides consistent grip on gravel-strewn desert roads and during the region's occasional heavy rainstorms. With a top speed of 217 km/h, it is perfectly suited for the fast-moving lanes of Sheikh Zayed Road.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is centered around a massive 15-inch touchscreen that controls everything from the dual-zone climate to navigation, keeping the dashboard clutter-free. For the GCC climate, the powerful air conditioning system can be pre-conditioned via the mobile app, ensuring a cool interior before you even enter the car. The panoramic glass roof is heavily tinted to protect against the summer sun while maintaining an airy, spacious feel for all five passengers.

Safety

Safety is anchored by the standard Autopilot suite, featuring emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keeping assist which are vital for multi-lane highway driving. The car's low center of gravity, due to the floor-mounted battery pack, provides exceptional rollover protection. Additionally, eight airbags and a reinforced structure have earned the model top safety marks globally, providing peace of mind for family use.

The bottom line

For the tech-focused buyer looking to skip the waitlist and save on depreciation, this white Long Range AWD is a highly practical choice for long-distance GCC commuting. It combines the best available charging infrastructure with a high-demand color and trim configuration.
