Summary

This 2026 Leopard 7 Ultra represents an exceptional opportunity to own a flagship PHEV with delivery mileage in the sought-after Black exterior, a color that consistently commands the highest resale interest in the GCC. While rivals struggle with high fuel consumption in city traffic, the Ultra trim's dual-motor setup offers supercar-level acceleration paired with enough electric range for a full week of Dubai or Riyadh commuting without burning fuel. As the top-tier specification, it stands out with advanced hydraulic damping and a premium technology suite that many luxury rivals only offer as expensive options. For a buyer seeking the latest in electrified performance with rugged SUV presence, this nearly-new example provides a significant advantage over a factory order.

This Car vs Other 2026 Leopard 7s

With only 1,200 km on the odometer, this vehicle is essentially in showroom condition, far below the typical 20,000 km annual average seen for SUVs in the GCC market. The Black finish is widely regarded as the most resilient choice for local resale value, offering a timeless aesthetic that holds its premium better than more adventurous colors. Choosing this specific unit allows you to bypass the wait times associated with new imports while securing the highest available trim level.

ULTRA vs Lower Trims

The Ultra trim is the definitive flagship, adding the DiSus-P intelligent hydraulic suspension which is absent on base models, providing superior ride height adjustment for varied GCC terrains. Inside, the cabin is upgraded with a 20-speaker premium audio system, a massive 26-inch AR head-up display, and ventilated seating for both front and rear passengers—a critical feature for the regional summer heat. It also includes the full DiPilot 300 ADAS suite as standard, offering higher-level autonomous highway assistance than the mid-tier Luxury trim.

Leopard 7 vs Segment Rivals

The Leopard 7 leads competitors like the Jetour T2 and Land Cruiser 250 in sheer electrified performance, offering a 4.5-second 0–100 km/h time that rivals cannot match in this price bracket. Its 190 km CLTC electric range is significantly higher than most PHEV peers, allowing for far more pure-electric driving in heavy city traffic. Furthermore, the Ultra's integrated refrigerator and four-zone climate control provide a level of cabin cooling and passenger convenience that is often missing from more traditional rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world hybrid consumption is remarkably low for an SUV of this size, though figures in GCC stop-start traffic will naturally be higher than laboratory tests when the battery is depleted. The PHEV powertrain is perfectly suited for the UAE's growing fast-charging infrastructure, with a 30-80% charge achievable in under 30 minutes at 120kW stations. While Chinese premium brands are newer to the region, BYD's extensive service network in the UAE and Saudi Arabia provides peace of mind for long-term maintenance. Resale value for top-tier Ultra trims remains stable due to the high demand for high-tech, fuel-efficient luxury SUVs in the local used market.

Performance & Capability

The combined 483 hp output ensures effortless overtaking on high-speed highways between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, while the dual-motor All Wheel Drive system provides immediate traction on sand and gravel. With a total combined range of 1,200 km, this SUV is a formidable long-distance cruiser, capable of cross-border road trips with minimal refueling stops. The intelligent terrain modes allow the driver to easily toggle between Sand, Mud, and Snow settings, ensuring the vehicle adapts to diverse GCC environments at the touch of a button.

Comfort & Cabin

The 5-seat layout is designed for family logistics, featuring Nappa leather upholstery and a 'Stellar Ark' interior that feels more like a private jet than a standard SUV. The air conditioning system is specifically engineered for high-temperature climates, supported by a negative ion air purifier and a cooled center console to keep drinks chilled during desert drives. Entertainment is managed via a massive 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, while the 20-speaker audio system provides exceptional sound insulation from external road noise.

Safety

Safety is anchored by the ultra-strong Blade Battery structure, which is renowned for its thermal stability in extreme heat. The DiPilot 300 suite provides 360-degree cameras with a transparent chassis view, making it easy to navigate tight mall parking or rocky terrain. Standard active safety includes blind-spot monitoring for fast-moving highway lanes, adaptive cruise control for long desert stretches, and emergency braking that monitors both front and rear traffic.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer who wants a tech-forward SUV with sports-car speed and genuine fuel efficiency, this nearly-new Leopard 7 Ultra is a standout choice that avoids the depreciation of a brand-new unit while maintaining its flagship status.
