Summary

This 2026 Changan X5 Plus Beyond Pro is a compelling choice for GCC buyers looking for modern technology and sharp performance without the premium price tag. The white exterior is the strongest resale color for the region, reflecting heat efficiently and maintaining high demand in the used market. As the Beyond Pro trim, it bridges the gap between value and luxury, offering a high-tech cabin and advanced driver aids that outclass many entry-level rivals. In a market where high highway speeds and city traffic are the norms, this SUV's quick acceleration and comprehensive safety suite make it an ideal daily companion. For any buyer in the UAE or wider GCC, this listing represents a practically new vehicle with a high-specification interior ready for the local climate.

This Car vs Other 2026 X5 Pluses

As a 2026 model with negligible mileage, this X5 Plus is essentially a new vehicle, offering a significant advantage over high-mileage examples often found in the GCC market. The white paintwork is the gold standard for resale in the region, ensuring it holds its value better than darker alternatives. Choosing this specific year means you benefit from the latest Blue Whale engine refinements and updated software interface.

BEYOND PRO vs Lower Trims

The Beyond Pro trim is a significant step up from the base Comfort edition, replacing manual systems with a fully digital triple-screen cockpit and a power-adjustable driver’s seat. It adds the critical 540° camera system with a transparent chassis view, which is invaluable for tight parking in Dubai or Riyadh. You also get the openable panoramic sunroof and Level 2 intelligent driving aids that are absent on entry-level models.

X5 Plus vs Segment Rivals

The X5 Plus stands out against rivals like the Geely Coolray and Haval H6 by offering a quicker 0-100 km/h time of 7.51 seconds. Its 2,715 mm wheelbase is among the longest in the compact segment, providing superior rear legroom for family trips. Furthermore, the 584-litre standard boot capacity offers more daily utility than many of its direct crossover competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

With a WLTC fuel consumption of approximately 6.95 L/100km, the 1.5T engine is highly efficient for both city commuting and long-distance highway cruises between emirates. Changan has a growing service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, making parts and maintenance easily accessible. While Chinese-spec models typically see slightly higher initial depreciation than GCC-spec versions, the high equipment level of the Beyond Pro trim helps stabilize long-term resale value.

Performance & Capability

The Blue Whale 1.5T engine produces a punchy 192 hp and 310 Nm of torque, ensuring confident overtaking on the E11 or E311 highways. The 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission is tuned for smoothness in stop-start urban traffic while remaining responsive during spirited drives. Independent multi-link rear suspension—rare at this price point—provides a more stable and comfortable ride over uneven surfaces compared to basic torsion beam setups.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the high-temperature GCC climate, featuring a powerful automatic constant-temperature air conditioning system with dedicated rear vents. The perforated faux leather sports seats provide excellent support for long drives, and the triple-screen interaction creates a truly modern atmosphere. With 27 dedicated storage compartments and a cooled center console, the interior is well-equipped for family road trips.

Safety

Safety is a priority in the Beyond Pro trim, which features a full L2-level intelligent driving suite including Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, and Active Emergency Braking. The 540° camera system provides a virtual view beneath the car, making it easier to avoid high curbs or obstacles. Standard equipment also includes six airbags and high-strength steel construction, providing peace of mind on fast-moving GCC roads.

The bottom line

Perfect for young families or professionals who want a fast, tech-loaded SUV that looks and feels premium without the luxury price tag.
