Summary

This Changan X5 Plus is a high-specification 2026 model that bridges the gap between urban agility and family utility. Finished in a resale-friendly White, this Beyond Pro trim offers a significantly upgraded technology suite compared to standard models, making it a standout in the competitive compact SUV market. With its punchy 1.5L turbocharged engine and efficient 7-speed DCT, it provides a balanced driving experience for the UAE's fast-moving highways. As a modern crossover with low mileage, it represents a smart choice for buyers seeking contemporary features like a 30-inch triple-screen cockpit. Owning a Changan in the GCC is supported by a growing network of authorized service centers and specialized parts suppliers.

This Car vs Other 2026 X5 Pluses

Being a 2026 model year, this vehicle typically carries lower mileage than the average used SUV in the GCC, which often sees 20,000 km or more annually. The White exterior is highly sought after in the local market for its ability to reflect heat and maintain a high resale value over time.

BEYOND PRO vs Lower Trims

The Beyond Pro trim adds essential intelligent driving features that matter to GCC drivers, including a 540° transparent chassis camera for easier parking and an L2 intelligent driving assistance system. Inside, you benefit from a significantly larger triple-screen digital cockpit and a 6-speaker premium audio system that replaces the basic 4-speaker setup found in Pioneer and Deluxe versions.

X5 Plus vs Segment Rivals

When compared to rivals like the Geely Emzoom or Haval H6, the X5 Plus leads with a quick 7.51-second acceleration time and a class-competitive 584-litre boot. Its 2,715mm wheelbase provides superior rear legroom for family use, a key advantage during long highway drives between the Emirates.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 6.95 L/100 km (WLTC), making it highly efficient for both city traffic and cross-country cruises. Maintenance is straightforward with service intervals typically set at 10,000 km, supported by authorized centers like Union Motors in the UAE. While Chinese brands face faster initial depreciation than Japanese rivals, the high equipment level of the Beyond Pro helps it retain value better in the secondary market.

Performance & Capability

The Blue Whale 1.5T engine delivers a verified 192 hp and 310 Nm of torque, ensuring effortless overtaking on fast highways. It features front MacPherson and rear multi-link independent suspension, providing a stable ride that filters out road imperfections during long desert highway journeys. The vehicle is electronically limited to a top speed of 205 km/h, well beyond typical regional speed limits.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the GCC climate, featuring a panoramic sunroof with a powered sunshade and an automatic air conditioning system with rear vents to ensure all five passengers stay cool. Perforated faux leather sports seats with electric adjustments provide comfort during long-distance travel, while the 30-inch interactive triple-screen provides a futuristic, driver-focused environment.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on this trim includes front and side curtain airbags, high-strength steel frame construction, and a comprehensive ADAS suite with active anti-collision braking. The 540° camera system and tire pressure monitoring (TPMS) are particularly useful for navigating tight urban spots and monitoring vehicle health in extreme summer heat.

The bottom line

This 2026 Changan X5 Plus Beyond Pro is an ideal opportunity for a tech-savvy buyer looking for a near-new SUV with premium features and strong performance at a competitive price point.
