Summary

This 2026 Changan X5 Plus Beyond Pro offers a high-spec crossover experience with its 192 hp BlueCore engine and striking White exterior, a color with consistently strong resale demand across the GCC. As the premium Beyond Pro trim, it bridges the gap between value and luxury by including features typically reserved for higher-segment vehicles, such as a panoramic sunroof and a 360-degree camera system. The X5 Plus stands out from rivals like the Geely Coolray by offering a larger wheelbase that translates directly into superior rear legroom for family use. For a GCC buyer looking for a modern, tech-forward daily driver that handles the region's heat with dual-zone climate control, this low-mileage 2026 model represents a smart alternative to long-waiting-list new inventory.

This Car vs Other 2026 X5 Pluss

With essentially delivery-grade mileage, this X5 Plus is positioned as a significant advantage over typical GCC used stock, which often averages 20,000 km annually. The White exterior is the most preferred color in the UAE and Saudi markets, ensuring maximum heat reflection and a faster resale turnaround. Choosing this Beyond Pro trim avoids the entry-level Pioneer spec, giving you the full digital cockpit experience from day one.

BEYOND PRO vs Lower Trims

The Beyond Pro trim adds essential GCC-relevant tech over the standard Beyond and Pioneer versions, most notably the 360-degree surround-view camera which is vital for parking in tight urban spaces. You also get a 15W wireless smartphone charger and a hands-free power tailgate, features that define the 'PRO' designation. The interior is further elevated with 64-color ambient lighting and premium leather seating with sporty red contrast stitching.

X5 Plus vs Segment Rivals

Against competitors like the Geely Coolray and MG ZS, the X5 Plus leads with a 2,715 mm wheelbase, providing one of the most spacious rear cabins in the compact SUV segment. Its 1.5L BlueCore engine delivers 192 hp, outperforming the MG ZS's naturally aspirated options for confident highway overtaking. The wet dual-clutch transmission is specifically engineered to handle the high-temperature stop-and-go traffic common in Dubai and Riyadh better than dry-clutch competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this 1.5T powertrain averages approximately 6.95 L/100km on the WLTC cycle, though GCC city traffic may see figures closer to 8.5 L/100km. Changan's authorized service network, led by Union Motors in the UAE, provides extensive parts availability and competitive service pricing across the region. As a high-spec Chinese crossover, it typically sees a 12-15% annual depreciation rate, holding its value well due to the robust manufacturer warranty and growing brand trust in the Middle East.

Performance & Capability

The X5 Plus achieves a swift 0-100 km/h time of 7.51 seconds, making it one of the punchiest performers in its class for highway merging. A top speed of 205 km/h and 310 Nm of torque ensure the vehicle never feels underpowered, even when fully loaded for cross-border road trips. While road-biased, its 170 mm ground clearance and multi-link independent rear suspension provide a stable, comfortable ride over the occasional gravel track or uneven urban road.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is dominated by a massive 12.3-inch dual-screen setup and a 10.25-inch digital cluster, creating a truly modern cockpit environment. GCC summers are handled by a powerful dual-zone automatic climate control system featuring dedicated rear AC vents and a PM2.5 filtration system for dusty conditions. A large panoramic sunroof opens up the five-seat interior, while acoustic glass helps insulate the cabin from external highway noise at high speeds.

Safety

The Beyond Pro trim comes standard with a comprehensive safety suite, including front and side airbags and a 360-degree camera for total visibility. Active safety is supported by electronic stability control, traction control, and ABS, which are critical for maintaining grip on sandy or rain-slicked GCC roads. Adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assistance provide an extra layer of security during long desert highway hauls.

The bottom line

This 2026 Changan X5 Plus Beyond Pro is the ideal choice for a tech-savvy professional or young family seeking a high-spec, high-performance SUV with the peace of mind of a modern service network.
