Summary

This near-new 2026 Chery Arrizo 5 in COMFORT trim represents an exceptional value proposition for any GCC buyer looking for a modern, fuel-efficient sedan without the high price tag of its Japanese rivals. With only 7000 km on the odometer, this vehicle is barely broken in and offers a significant mileage advantage over typical used listings, ensuring years of trouble-free driving ahead. The crisp white exterior is not only the most practical choice for the intense heat of the Middle East but also ensures the strongest possible resale value when it comes time to upgrade. As a GCC-spec model, it is fully optimized for the region’s unique climate and high-speed highway infrastructure, making it a more reliable long-term investment than grey-market imports. The Arrizo 5 has quickly become a favorite in the region for its blend of premium interior tech and low running costs, standing out as a smarter financial move for daily commuters. For the buyer who prioritizes recent-year technology, low mileage, and a proven service network, this specific listing is currently one of the most compelling opportunities in the compact sedan market.

This Car vs Other 2026 Arrizo 5s

When comparing this specific vehicle to other 2026 Arrizo 5 models currently on the market, the primary differentiator is its remarkably low mileage. While the average GCC driver covers roughly 20,000 to 25,000 km per year, this car has covered just 7000 km, meaning it has essentially spent its first year in a protected, low-use environment. This puts the mechanical components, suspension, and interior surfaces in a state that is nearly identical to a showroom-fresh vehicle. The choice of a white exterior is a strategic advantage in the UAE and wider GCC, as it reflects solar heat more effectively than darker shades, keeping the cabin cooler and reducing the load on the air conditioning system. Furthermore, white remains the most liquid color in the secondary market, ensuring that this car will be easier to sell later compared to more niche colors. Finding a 2026 model with this level of care and such low usage provides the next owner with the best possible 'used car' experience, capturing the steepest part of the depreciation curve while retaining a like-new feel.

COMFORT vs Lower Trims

Stepping up to the COMFORT trim provides several essential upgrades that significantly enhance the daily driving experience in the GCC. While the base trim focuses on pure utility, the COMFORT variant introduces a more refined interior with upgraded seating materials that are better suited for long-distance travel between emirates. Tech-wise, this trim typically includes an enhanced infotainment system with smartphone integration, allowing for seamless navigation and media control during city commutes. Externally, the COMFORT trim often features more stylish alloy wheels and LED lighting elements that give the car a more premium road presence compared to the basic steel-wheel configurations found on entry-level models. Crucially for our climate, the air conditioning system in the COMFORT trim is optimized with more intuitive controls and better air distribution throughout the cabin. For buyers in the region, these small but significant upgrades in aesthetics and interior technology make the car feel like a much higher-tier vehicle while maintaining the model's signature fuel efficiency.

Arrizo 5 vs Segment Rivals

The Chery Arrizo 5 competes directly with stalwarts like the Toyota Yaris, Nissan Sunny, and Hyundai Accent, but it carves out a niche by offering more standard technology for a lower initial investment. While rivals often reserve features like large touchscreen displays and high-quality backup cameras for their top-tier trims, the Arrizo 5 includes these as part of its core value proposition. In terms of cabin space, the Arrizo 5 offers a wider body than many of its competitors, providing better shoulder room for three adults in the rear—a major plus for families in the GCC. The 1.5L engine is specifically tuned for a balance of city agility and highway stability, often feeling more planted at 120 km/h than some lighter Japanese sub-compacts. Additionally, Chery has invested heavily in its local parts distribution hubs, meaning that owners no longer face the long wait times for components that used to plague non-Japanese brands in the region. This car provides a modern, high-tech alternative for the buyer who wants more than just basic transportation.

Running Costs & Resale

Operating the Arrizo 5 in the GCC is impressively affordable, with its 1.5L four-cylinder engine delivering excellent fuel economy that averages around 6.5 to 7.0 liters per 100km in mixed driving conditions. This efficiency is a massive benefit for those who commute daily on highways like E11 or E311, as it maximizes the range of the fuel tank and reduces monthly petrol expenses. Maintenance is straightforward, with service intervals typically set at every 10,000 km, and authorized service centers are now widely available across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. While Japanese brands traditionally hold the crown for resale value, the newer generation of Chery vehicles is showing much slower depreciation rates than earlier models, typically losing about 12-15% in the first few years. Because this is a 2026 model with extremely low mileage, it has already cleared the initial new-car price drop, making it a very stable asset for the next three to five years. For the budget-conscious owner, the combination of low insurance premiums and affordable genuine parts makes this one of the most cost-effective sedans to keep on the road.

Performance & Capability

The heart of the Arrizo 5 is its 1.5-liter engine, which provides a smooth and predictable power delivery perfectly suited for urban environments like Dubai or Riyadh. Mated to a refined automatic transmission, the powertrain is designed to stay in the optimal torque range, making lane changes and merging onto fast highways a stress-free experience. While it is not a sports car, the front-wheel-drive setup and well-tuned suspension offer a comfortable ride that absorbs the minor imperfections of city streets and stays quiet at cruising speeds. The steering is light and easy to maneuver, which is particularly helpful in tight mall parking lots or navigating heavy stop-start traffic. With its 5-seat capacity, the car remains composed even when fully loaded with passengers and luggage, showcasing a level of chassis rigidity that is often missing in this price bracket. For the typical GCC driver who needs a reliable, stable, and easy-to-drive sedan for school runs and work commutes, the performance profile of the Arrizo 5 is perfectly balanced.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside the Arrizo 5 COMFORT, the focus is on creating a clean, ergonomic, and cool environment. The air conditioning system is exceptionally powerful, a non-negotiable requirement for the GCC summer, capable of dropping the cabin temperature rapidly even after the car has been parked in the sun. The 5-seat layout is designed with generous legroom in the rear, ensuring that adult passengers don't feel cramped during longer journeys between cities. The cabin materials in the COMFORT trim are selected for durability and ease of cleaning, which is vital for maintaining a fresh look in the dusty regional environment. Sound insulation has been a priority for Chery in this model, resulting in a surprisingly quiet interior that filters out a significant amount of road and wind noise at highway speeds. The inclusion of modern infotainment features ensures that every journey is connected, while the intuitive layout of the dashboard puts all essential controls within easy reach of the driver, enhancing both comfort and focus.

Safety

Safety in the Arrizo 5 is comprehensive, with the car achieving a 5-Star NCAP rating thanks to its high-strength steel cage construction and a suite of active safety technologies. Standard features on this trim include multiple airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), which are essential for maintaining control during emergency stops on sandy or slick surfaces. The Electronic Stability Program (ESP) is particularly well-calibrated for the region, providing an extra layer of security during high-speed highway driving. For daily urban use, the rear parking sensors and high-definition camera make navigating tight spots much safer, preventing minor scuffs and accidents. Chery has also equipped this model with ISOFIX child seat anchors, making it a secure choice for young families. Compared to many competitors who offer these features only as expensive options, the Arrizo 5 provides a robust safety net as standard, giving the driver and passengers peace of mind on every trip.

The bottom line

This 2026 Chery Arrizo 5 is the perfect choice for a savvy commuter or a small family looking for a nearly new vehicle with a full features list at a fraction of the cost of a brand-new model. Given its ultra-low mileage and the strong resale protection of its white GCC-spec configuration, it stands as one of the most logical and low-risk purchases currently available in the used sedan market.
