Summary

This 2026 Chery Tiggo 7 Comfort offers a modern, high-tech driving experience in a versatile silver finish, a color known for maintaining strong resale appeal in the GCC market. With under 40,000 km, this crossover represents a smart purchase, having already bypassed the initial steep depreciation phase typical of the segment. It stands out for providing premium features like dual digital displays and a surround-view camera as standard, which often cost extra on rivals. For GCC buyers, the effective dual-zone climate control and turbocharged efficiency make it a reliable partner for both city commutes and long inter-emirate highway trips. This is an ideal choice for families seeking a feature-packed SUV that balances technology with low running costs.

This Car vs Other 2026 Tiggo 7s

With 38,592 km, this vehicle sits slightly above the average annual mileage for a newer SUV in the GCC, reflecting its suitability for the region's long-distance highway network. The Silver exterior is a strategic choice for local buyers, offering maximum heat reflection during peak summer months and holding its value better than niche colors in the UAE and Saudi used markets.

COMFORT vs Lower Trims

The Comfort trim adds significant technology over the entry-level variants, most notably the 360-degree surround-view camera system which is essential for navigating tight urban parking. It also includes the full 12.3-inch digital cockpit and keyless entry with remote start, allowing you to pre-cool the cabin before entering—a vital feature for the GCC climate.

Tiggo 7 vs Segment Rivals

The Tiggo 7 leads rivals like the MG ZS and Haval Jolion by offering a more tech-forward interior with dual-screen integration as standard equipment. While competitors often reserve surround-view cameras and digital clusters for top-tier trims, this Chery provides these high-value features at a more accessible price point without compromising on rear passenger legroom.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel efficiency is a strong suit, with the 1.5L turbo engine averaging 7.4 L/100km, keeping costs low for daily commuters. Chery has established an extensive authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with standard service intervals every 15,000 km. While Chinese SUVs typically see a 25% depreciation over three years, the Tiggo 7’s growing popularity and parts availability support steady value retention.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5-litre turbocharged engine produces 147 hp and 210 Nm of torque, providing smooth acceleration for highway overtaking. With a ground clearance of 210 mm, it easily handles gravel paths and speed bumps common in developing residential areas. The CVT is tuned for efficiency, ensuring a relaxed drive during heavy stop-start traffic in major GCC cities.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin features five seats upholstered in durable synthetic leather, designed to withstand the region's intense sunlight. A dual-zone automatic climate control system with dedicated rear vents ensures all passengers remain comfortable during 45 degree Celsius summers. Practicality is highlighted by a 484-litre boot, which provides ample space for family road trips or large grocery hauls.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on this trim includes a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, and a comprehensive suite of airbags. It also features electronic stability control and traction control, which are particularly effective at maintaining composure on sandy or rain-slicked road surfaces. The inclusion of cruise control with a brake function adds a layer of safety and convenience for long desert highway stretches.

The bottom line

Perfect for the tech-savvy family or urban professional, this Tiggo 7 offers a high-specification interior and proven GCC suitability at a fraction of the cost of its Japanese or European counterparts.
