• 900 mm maximum wading depth
• Terrain Response 2 system standard

Summary

The 2026 Range Rover HSE P400 represents a strategic choice for GCC buyers, combining the smooth efficiency of the 3.0-litre mild-hybrid straight-six with the high-spec appointments usually reserved for the V8 models. Finished in Grey, a color with consistently high resale demand in the UAE and Saudi markets, this example offers a balanced ownership proposition between daily urban luxury and long-distance highway comfort. The P400 powertrain is particularly well-suited for regional stop-start traffic, utilizing its 48V system to smooth out the drive while maintaining 400 hp for confident overtaking on the E11. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it comes fully prepared for extreme summer temperatures with optimized cooling systems and a comprehensive local service history potential. For those who want the presence and tech of the new generation without the fuel overhead of a V8, this is the most logical entry into flagship ownership.

This Car vs Other 2026 Range Rovers

With most 2026 models in the GCC market currently showing delivery-only or very low mileage, this vehicle stands as a near-new alternative with the benefit of immediate availability. The Grey exterior is one of the top three resale colors in the region, offering a significant advantage over niche colors when it comes time to trade. Compared to the average GCC annual use of 25,000 km, this generation of Range Rover is mechanically optimized for high-heat, high-mileage environments.

HSE P400 vs Lower Trims

The HSE trim adds critical luxury features over the base SE that are highly valued by GCC buyers, including the 3D Surround Camera system with wading sensors and the upgraded Meridian 3D Surround Sound system. You also benefit from ventilated and massaging front seats as standard, which are essential for summer comfort in the Gulf. Additionally, the HSE includes soft-close doors and enhanced cabin air purification, features that significantly improve the daily experience in dusty city environments.

Range Rover vs Segment Rivals

The Range Rover leads the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS in technical off-road capability, offering a superior 900 mm wading depth and a dedicated low-range transfer case for desert weekend trips. While rivals focus heavily on on-road dynamics, the Land Rover provides a more insulated, whisper-quiet cabin and a larger 90-litre fuel tank, extending its cruising range between Abu Dhabi and Muscat. Its all-wheel steering system also gives it a tighter turning circle than many smaller SUVs, making it easier to maneuver in tight Dubai Mall parking spaces.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the P400 mild-hybrid averages approximately 10.2 L/100km on GCC highways, though this increases in heavy city traffic. Authorized service centers are widely available across the UAE (Al Tayer/Premier Motors), Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts and technical support are never far away. The HSE trim typically retains approximately 65-70% of its value over the first three years in the GCC market, performing better than the specialized SV trims which experience steeper initial depreciation.

Performance & Capability

The 400 hp turbocharged straight-six delivers a verified 0-100 km/h time of 5.8 seconds, providing more than enough power for effortless highway merging. Land Rover's Terrain Response 2 system automatically adjusts the air suspension and drivetrain for sand, rock, or gravel, making it a genuine dual-purpose vehicle for the region. The adjustable air suspension allows for a maximum ground clearance of 295 mm, ensuring you can clear obstacles that would stop road-biased executive crossovers.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat layout offers expansive legroom and a massive 818-litre boot space, ideal for family road trips or golf gear. The GCC-optimized four-zone climate control system is designed to pull down cabin temperatures rapidly even after hours in the direct sun. High-quality Windsor leather and acoustic laminated glass create a sanctuary-like environment, keeping the heat and road noise of fast-moving motorways at bay.

Safety

This HSE P400 comes standard with a full ADAS suite, including Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist, which is invaluable for the long stretches of highway between Emirates. The 360° Surround Camera provides a virtual overhead view to prevent curbing the large alloy wheels, while Blind Spot Assist helps navigate fast-moving multi-lane traffic. Standard Lane Keep Assist and Emergency Braking provide a final layer of protection for city commuting.

The bottom line

For the executive or family buyer who prioritizes the latest tech and GCC-specific comfort features, this HSE P400 is a high-value opportunity to secure a 2026 flagship in a prime resale color.
