Summary

This listing represents a ground-breaking opportunity to own a 2026 model SUV that is already redefining the hybrid segment in the Middle East. As a flagship Prestige trim, this vehicle offers a 500-horsepower hybrid drivetrain that balances immense power with the kind of efficiency usually reserved for compact sedans. The black exterior is the most sought-after color for resale in the UAE and Saudi markets, ensuring it will hold its value better than lighter or more niche shades. Its six-seat configuration with second-row captain chairs makes it a superior choice for families who find standard seven-seaters too cramped. While this is a Chinese regional spec, the brand's rapid expansion across the GCC means that specialized service support is becoming increasingly accessible. For a buyer looking to stay ahead of the curve with the latest 2026 automotive technology, this SUV offers a degree of luxury and performance that rivals established European brands at a much more competitive entry point.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX 01s

While many 2026 models are just beginning to enter the GCC market, this Prestige trim stands out due to its immediate availability and high-demand color configuration. Given that the average annual mileage for a family SUV in this region ranges between 20,000 and 25,000 kilometers, finding a 2026 model allows a buyer to stay well ahead of the depreciation curve. The black finish is particularly advantageous in the local used car market, as it remains a perennial favorite for luxury buyers in Dubai and Doha, often commanding a premium over less traditional colors. This specific vehicle has been maintained to exacting standards, and the 2026 designation ensures it benefits from the latest software updates and battery management calibrations. Choosing this particular unit over other early-release 01s provides the peace of mind that comes with the most current production batch and refined assembly quality.

PRESTIGE vs Lower Trims

Stepping up to the Prestige trim transforms the interior from a standard cabin into a genuine luxury lounge, specifically optimized for the high-end GCC lifestyle. Unlike lower tiers, the Prestige includes upgraded aviation-grade captain chairs in the second row, featuring integrated heating, ventilation, and massage functions which are essential for those long summer drives across the Emirates. You also receive the full suite of high-definition screens, including a dedicated passenger entertainment display that lower trims often lack. The audio experience is significantly enhanced here with an unbranded but high-fidelity surround sound system that rivals European premium setups. Furthermore, the Prestige trim includes advanced air suspension as standard, allowing for a level of ride height adjustment and road isolation that the entry-level coil-spring models cannot match.

01 vs Segment Rivals

The ROX 01 enters a competitive field against established rivals like the Li Auto L9 and the BMW X7, yet it offers a unique value proposition in terms of raw power and range-extender capability. Its 500-horsepower output provides a more reactive throttle response than many turbocharged alternatives in the same class, which is a major advantage during high-speed merging on the Sheikh Zayed Road. While competitors often struggle with the compromise between luxury and ruggedness, the 01 manages to provide a sophisticated cabin while maintaining an All Wheel Drive system designed for more than just wet pavement. Its 1.5-liter engine acts as a highly efficient generator, providing a massive total range that exceeds what most traditional luxury SUVs can achieve on a single tank. This makes it an ideal companion for the long-distance trek between cities like Riyadh and Abu Dhabi without the need for frequent fuel stops.

Running Costs & Resale

Operating a 500-horsepower SUV typically comes with high fuel bills, but the hybrid powertrain in this 2026 model drastically reduces monthly expenditures. In GCC stop-start traffic, the electric motor handles the bulk of the work, while the 1.5-liter generator only kicks in when needed, leading to some of the lowest running costs in its size class. Service intervals are generally every 10,000 to 12,000 kilometers, involving standard checks for the generator engine and the electrical cooling systems. As a Chinese spec vehicle, it is important to note that while official dealership networks are expanding across the UAE and KSA, parts are currently readily available through specialized importers. This model's resale value is buoyed by its 2026 model year, which puts it in a strong position compared to older German or Japanese rivals that may be nearing the end of their warranty periods. Predicted depreciation for this specific brand has shown to be stable as the market gains confidence in high-end Chinese hybrid technology.

Performance & Capability

The headline figure of 500 horsepower is just the beginning; the real magic lies in the instantaneous torque provided by the dual-motor All Wheel Drive system. This allows the SUV to sprint with surprising agility, making highway overtaking effortless even when the vehicle is fully loaded with six passengers and luggage. The AWD system is intelligent, constantly monitoring for traction loss on sand-blown tarmac or gravel paths commonly found during weekend excursions to the desert outskirts. With a generous ground clearance, the vehicle is well-suited for the occasional light off-road duty, though it remains primarily focused on delivering a cloud-like highway experience. The automatic transmission is tuned for seamless transitions between electric and generator power, ensuring that the driver rarely notices the internal combustion engine engaging. This blend of performance makes it a versatile tool for both the professional commuter and the adventurous family.

Comfort & Cabin

Designed with a 6-seat layout, the cabin prioritizes individual space and comfort through the use of luxury captain chairs in the second row. Each occupant has access to dedicated climate control zones, which is a critical feature during the 45°C summer months in the GCC. The air conditioning system is exceptionally powerful, designed to cool the large cabin volume in a matter of minutes. Premium materials cover every touchpoint, from the soft-touch dashboard to the resilient synthetic upholstery that is designed to withstand the harsh UV rays of the Arabian sun. Noise insulation is another area where this model excels, using acoustic glass to keep the sounds of desert winds and city traffic at bay. The third row is genuinely adult-friendly for short trips, making this one of the most practical yet luxurious cabins currently available in the mid-to-large SUV segment.

Safety

Safety is a paramount focus for this 2026 Prestige model, which comes equipped with one of the most advanced ADAS suites in the current market. Features like adaptive cruise control with lane-centering are invaluable for the long, straight highways connecting the emirates, reducing driver fatigue significantly. The 360-degree camera system provides a crystal-clear bird's-eye view, making it easy to park this large SUV in tight mall parking lots. Standard safety includes blind-spot monitoring, which is essential for safely navigating the fast-paced, multi-lane traffic typical of major GCC cities. Additionally, the vehicle features multiple airbags and a reinforced chassis designed to meet modern international crash standards. These systems work together silently to provide a safety net that is often an expensive optional extra on European competitors.

The bottom line

For the forward-thinking GCC buyer who wants 2026 technology, 500 horsepower, and a six-star cabin experience today, this Prestige trim is the market's best-kept secret. It offers the perfect balance of massive hybrid range and flagship luxury, making it an exceptional purchase for families who refuse to follow the standard crowd.
