• 235 km pure electric range (CLTC)
• 700 mm maximum wading depth

Summary

This 2026 ROX Adamas represents the emerging peak of the long-range luxury SUV market in the GCC, offering a sophisticated alternative to traditional petrol-only full-size SUVs. Its 1.5-liter range-extender system provides the smooth, instant torque of an EV without the range anxiety often felt on long cross-border drives between Dubai and Riyadh. The unique 'Couch' trim configuration delivers second-row aviation-grade seating that rivals executive jets, making it an excellent choice for family road trips or chauffeur-driven commutes. As a new entrant gaining rapid popularity in the UAE, its blend of Italian-inspired design and rugged off-road hardware makes it a distinctive and smart buy for those wanting a modern, tech-forward presence. For the GCC buyer, the standard dual-motor all-wheel-drive system ensures stability on both high-speed highways and weekend desert excursions.

This Car vs Other 2026 Adamas s

With this being a 2026 model year, the vehicle benefits from the latest software refinements to the battery management and ADAS systems compared to earlier production batches. The mileage is effectively delivery-standard, offering the highest possible value retention for a new-generation Chinese luxury SUV. Its exterior finish is a neutral, professional shade that traditionally performs well in the secondary GCC market for large SUVs.

COUCH vs Lower Trims

The Couch trim is the premium 6-seater variant, replacing the standard middle bench with two massive, multi-functional aviation-style captain chairs that include independent electric adjustment, heating, ventilation, and massage functions. Over the 7-seater family trim, it adds a dedicated rear entertainment screen integrated into the ceiling and a more refined cabin finish. This trim is specifically designed for buyers who prioritize second-row luxury and long-distance passenger comfort over maximum occupant count.

Adamas vs Segment Rivals

The Adamas competes directly with the Li Auto L8 and the Land Rover Defender 130, offering a superior 700 mm wading depth that exceeds most road-biased hybrid rivals. Its 70-liter fuel tank is specifically sized for long GCC highway stints, providing a total combined range of over 1,100 km that few full-EV competitors can match. While European rivals focus on legacy hardware, the Adamas leads with an integrated camp-kitchen option and a sophisticated dual-motor system that remains silent even in heavy city traffic.

Running Costs & Resale

The 1.5-liter range-extender system averages approximately 7.9L/100km when the battery is depleted, though daily commutes under 200 km can be completed entirely on electric power. This significantly reduces fuel costs compared to V8-powered rivals in GCC stop-start traffic. Authorized service centers are expanding across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with the brand's simplified mechanical layout suggesting lower long-term maintenance costs. While depreciation is steeper than established Japanese icons, the Adamas retains strong appeal among early tech-adopters in the regional used market.

Performance & Capability

Despite its luxury focus, the Adamas is a capable all-terrain machine with a 45-degree climbing angle and five dedicated off-road modes including Sand and Wade. The 476 hp output is delivered instantly by dual motors, allowing for safe and effortless overtaking on the E11 or E311 highways even when fully loaded. The 700 mm wading depth and transparent chassis technology provide genuine confidence for exploring wadis or navigating heavy rainfall in urban centers. It maintains a stable, planted feel at its 190 km/h top speed, aided by an advanced multi-link suspension setup.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is defined by its 2+2+2 seating layout, featuring three-zone climate control that is rigorously tested to maintain cooling in 45°C+ summer heat. Standard ventilated seats for both the front and second rows are a critical advantage for the GCC climate, ensuring comfort during long summer drives. The 15.7-inch 3K central display and 14-speaker premium audio system transform the interior into a high-tech lounge, while acoustic glass effectively isolates the cabin from desert wind noise at high speeds.

Safety

Standard safety features include a full ADAS suite with high-precision sensors for adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking, which are essential for fast-moving multi-lane GCC highways. The vehicle is equipped with a comprehensive airbag system and a 360-degree camera with a transparent underbody view, making it easy to maneuver such a large SUV in tight city parking. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alerts provide additional security during high-speed highway merges.

The bottom line

This 2026 ROX Adamas Couch is the ideal choice for the tech-savvy GCC family who wants Defender-like presence with the efficiency and refinement of a modern electric powertrain. It offers an unmatched second-row luxury experience that makes it one of the most comfortable long-distance cruisers currently available in the region.
