Summary

This listing represents a unique opportunity to own a 2026 model year vehicle well before it becomes a common sight on regional roads, offering massive novelty value and tech-forward appeal. The black exterior is the most sought-after resale color in the GCC market, ensuring strong liquidity when it comes time to trade up. As a high-performance PHEV, it bridges the gap between traditional power and future-ready efficiency, making it perfect for the UAE’s urban landscapes. The VIP trim is the absolute top-tier configuration, providing a level of interior refinement that rivals ultra-luxury European SUVs at a much more accessible entry point. For the GCC buyer, the most important consideration is the combination of a 1.5L range-extender and a massive 476 horsepower output, which provides effortless highway merging and overtaking without the range anxiety of a pure EV. This specific example is a fresh arrival, offering a rare blend of immediate availability and the latest 2026 automotive tech.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX Adamas

Being a 2026 model year, this vehicle is essentially in showroom condition, with mileage that is negligible compared to the typical 25,000 km annual average seen in the GCC. While many 2026 models arriving in the region may be base or intermediate tiers, this is the VIP edition, which carries a significantly higher residual value due to its exclusive cabin layout. The black paintwork is a strategic choice for the UAE and Saudi markets, as it remains the most professional and high-demand color for executive SUVs. Buyers will find that this vehicle lacks the typical wear and tear found on even slightly older models, such as sun-faded plastics or seat leather creasing. It represents the absolute 'top of the curve' for this model year, offering the newest software versions and hardware updates currently available from the manufacturer. It is a benchmark example of what a 2026 luxury SUV should look and feel like.

VIP vs Lower Trims

The VIP trim is a transformative upgrade over the standard versions, most notably replacing the bench seating with ultra-premium second-row captain's chairs. These seats are equipped with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, which are essential for maintaining comfort during the intense GCC summer months. While lower trims focus on utility, the VIP adds acoustic glass and enhanced sound insulation, significantly reducing road noise during high-speed drives between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. You also get a superior 360-degree camera system with transparent chassis technology, making it much easier to park this large SUV in tight mall basements. Use of premium Nappa-style leather and ambient lighting with a wider color palette creates a cabin environment that feels significantly more expensive than the entry-level configurations. For the discerning buyer, the VIP trim ensures that no feature is left simplified or omitted.

Adamas vs Segment Rivals

When compared to segment stalwarts like the Li Auto L9 or the BMW X7, the Adamas stands out with its standard-fit PHEV powertrain that produces a staggering 476 horsepower. While many rivals in this price bracket offer smaller four-cylinder engines with lower outputs, this model provides the punch of a V8 with the efficiency of a hybrid. Its 6-seat configuration offers more individual shoulder room for adult passengers than the 7-seat layouts found in the Volvo XC90 or Toyota Highlander. The air conditioning system is specifically engineered for high-output cooling, a vital edge over European rivals that sometimes struggle in 50-degree desert heat. Furthermore, the specialized All-Wheel Drive system is tuned for varying surfaces, providing better stability on sandy patches than many front-wheel-drive-based competitors. It offers a more modern, tech-centric cockpit than the aging interior designs of many established Japanese and American SUVs in the same segment.

Running Costs & Resale

As a Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV), this vehicle offers some of the lowest running costs in the SUV segment, especially for those with home charging access in the UAE. In stop-start traffic in downtown Riyadh or Dubai, it can operate in near-silent electric mode, while the 1.5L engine acts as a highly efficient generator for long-range trips. Fuel requirements are standard for modern high-compression engines, and the tank size is generous enough to cover the long stretches between gas stations on the highway to Oman or through the Eastern Province. While the ROX brand is newer to the GCC, its shared componentry with major global suppliers ensures that service intervals are predictable and manageable at specialized service centers. Resale value for top-tier Chinese luxury SUVs is stabilizing rapidly in the region as parts availability increases across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Expect a depreciation curve that is more favorable than American-spec imports, thanks to the pristine condition of this specific Chinese-market unit.

Performance & Capability

The headline figure of 476 horsepower allows this large SUV to accelerate with the urgency of a sports car, making highway overtaking effortless even when fully loaded with six passengers. The All-Wheel Drive system provides constant traction, which is particularly useful during the occasional heavy rains or when traversing gravel-strewn desert tracks on the weekend. The transition between electric and petrol power is virtually seamless, managed by a sophisticated automatic transmission that prioritizes smooth torque delivery. Despite its size, the low center of gravity provided by the battery placement ensures that it remains composed through highway curves and during sudden maneuvers. Ground clearance is ample for typical GCC obstacles like high speed bumps and sandy curb-side parking, while the air suspension allows for a plush ride that ironed out road imperfections. It is a highly capable long-distance cruiser that doesn't feel sluggish or underpowered in any regional driving scenario.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed around a 2-2-2 seating configuration that prioritizes individual space and luxury for every occupant. The second-row captain's chairs are the highlight, offering a lounge-like experience that is ideal for executive transport or long family road trips across the emirates. Triple-zone climate control ensures that even those in the third row receive direct airflow, a critical feature for the Middle Eastern climate. The infotainment system is centered around a massive high-resolution screen that integrates all vehicle functions, reducing cabin clutter and providing a futuristic aesthetic. High-quality materials cover nearly every touchpoint, from the soft-touch dashboard to the suede-lined pillars, ensuring a premium feel. Large windows and an expansive sunroof let in plenty of light while being heavily tinted to reject the intense solar heat common in the region. The boot space remains practical even with the third row in use, making it a versatile choice for airport runs or shopping trips.

Safety

Safety is a hallmark of the VIP trim, which comes standard with a comprehensive suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). This includes adaptive cruise control, which is a life-saver on long treks like the drive from Dubai to Al Ain, and lane-keep assist that helps manage fatigue during night driving. The blind-spot monitoring is particularly well-calibrated for the fast-paced, multi-lane traffic found on the E11 and other major GCC arteries. Multiple airbags protect all three rows of passengers, and the high-strength steel cage provides excellent structural integrity in the event of an impact. Sensors around the vehicle provide a 'surround-view' that eliminates blind spots when maneuvering in tight urban environments. Additionally, the stability and traction control systems are programmed to handle the unique slipperiness of sand-covered asphalt, ensuring the driver remains in total control at all times.

The bottom line

This 2026 ROX Adamas VIP is the perfect choice for a tech-savvy executive or a modern family looking for maximum luxury and performance without the high fuel bills of a traditional SUV. As a fresh 2026 model in the most desirable color and highest trim, it represents a smart purchase for a buyer who wants to stay ahead of the curve in the evolving GCC automotive market.
