Haval Raptor

The Haval Menglong, also known as the Haval Raptor, is a compact SUV produced by Great Wall Motor under its Haval brand. Officially launched in October 2023, the Menglong is designed to offer a blend of off-road capability and modern hybrid technology.

Exterior Design

The Menglong features a robust, boxy design reminiscent of classic off-road vehicles. It is equipped with a side-opening rear door, a spare tire mounted on the rear, and a tow hook, all contributing to its rugged appearance. The front grille is composed of three silver hollow bars adorned with rivets, flanked by round retro headlights, giving the vehicle a distinctive and aggressive look. 

Interior Features

Inside, the Menglong offers a spacious cabin designed for comfort during off-road adventures. The interior is equipped with modern amenities, including a touchscreen infotainment system, advanced driver-assistance features, and seating configurations that can accommodate up to five passengers. The design emphasizes functionality and durability, suitable for various driving conditions.

Performance and Engine Options

The Menglong is powered by Great Wall Motor's Hi4 plug-in hybrid system, which combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with electric motors. The system delivers a combined power output of approximately 373 to 378 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. The vehicle features a multi-mode DHT hybrid drivetrain and is available with a 19.1 or 27.5 kWh battery, providing an electric-only driving range of up to 145 kilometers. 

Safety and Technology

The Menglong is equipped with advanced safety features, including multiple airbags, electronic stability control, and a rearview camera. The infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ensuring seamless connectivity. The vehicle also features over-the-air software updates, allowing it to receive the latest enhancements and improvements remotely.
