Summary

This 18-year-old Aston Martin DB9 represents a rare opportunity to own a hand-assembled V12 grand tourer with notably low mileage for its age in the GCC. With just under 60,000 km, it has been driven significantly less than the typical 20,000 km per year expected in the region, preserving its mechanical integrity and cabin finish. The deep Blue exterior is a sophisticated choice that holds strong appeal in the local pre-owned market, offering a distinguished alternative to more common silver or black examples. As a GCC-spec model, it is fully optimized for the heat and high-speed highway demands of the UAE and Saudi Arabia. This is a collector-grade example of one of the world's most beautiful coupes, perfectly suited for the enthusiast who values both heritage and performance.

This Car vs Other 2008 DB9s

With only 59,802 km on the odometer, this vehicle has covered roughly 3,300 km per year, which is exceptionally low compared to the GCC average of 20,000 km. Most 2008 models on the market have significantly higher usage, making this a standout for preservation. The Blue finish is a premium resale color that maintains a high aesthetic value among collectors in the Emirates.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

As the core of the DB9 range, the Standard trim features the iconic Bridge of Weir leather and authentic wood veneers that are hand-fitted at the Gaydon facility. It includes the Touchtronic II automatic transmission as standard, providing seamless gear changes compared to the rarer manual versions. This trim ensures the full GT experience with standard integrated navigation and a high-fidelity Linn audio system tailored for the cabin.

DB9 vs Segment Rivals

The DB9 leads rivals like the Bentley Continental GT and Maserati GranTurismo with its lightweight VH aluminum architecture, offering a more agile driving experience. Its naturally aspirated V12 provides a linear power delivery and a distinct acoustic character that turbocharged competitors cannot match. For long-distance GCC travel, the DB9's front-mid engine layout provides superior weight distribution and high-speed stability.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the V12 averages between 15.2 and 16.5 L/100km, reflecting its displacement and high-output nature during GCC city and highway driving. Service intervals are recommended every 16,000 km or 12 months, and the car is supported by an established authorized network across major GCC cities like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Riyadh. As a discontinued V12 icon, the DB9 shows excellent value retention compared to contemporary mass-produced luxury sedans.

Performance & Capability

The 6.0L V12 produces 450 hp, propelling the coupe to a top speed of 300 km/h, making it a true cross-border cruiser for the Arabian Peninsula. The 420 lb-ft of torque ensures effortless overtaking on multi-lane highways even in peak summer temperatures. Its rear-wheel-drive configuration and limited-slip differential provide a classic sports car feel during spirited weekend drives.

Comfort & Cabin

The 2+2 seating layout is wrapped in premium leather, with dual-zone climate control specifically designed to handle extreme desert heat. The acoustic glass and heavy insulation ensure the cabin remains a quiet sanctuary even at high cruising speeds. Thoughtful features like power-folding mirrors and an auto-dimming rearview mirror enhance the daily driving experience in busy GCC traffic.

Safety

Standard safety features include a comprehensive airbag system and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) to maintain traction on sandy or uneven surfaces. The high-performance Brembo braking system provides consistent stopping power, essential for the fast-paced driving conditions found on the E11 and other major regional arteries. Traction control and EBA (Electronic Brake Assist) come standard, ensuring the car remains composed during sudden maneuvers.

The bottom line

This is a meticulously maintained, low-mileage V12 masterpiece that offers a timeless design and visceral performance for the discerning GCC collector.
