• 240 km/h top speed
• 545 litres boot space

Summary

This 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 Coupe AMG strikes a perfect balance between head-turning fastback styling and daily practicality. With only 69,600 km on the clock, its mileage is significantly lower than the GCC average for a six-year-old vehicle, making it a highly attractive option in the pre-owned market. The AMG styling package enhances its road presence with aggressive bodywork and larger alloys, while the Grey exterior is a high-demand, high-resale choice across the Emirates. For the GCC buyer, the refined 2.0-liter turbocharged engine provides plenty of punch for highway overtaking while maintaining reasonable efficiency for city commutes. It offers the premium Mercedes-Benz experience with the added benefit of a verified mechanical history often found in well-kept Korean regional spec imports.

This Car vs Other 2020 GLC 300s

At 69,600 km, this GLC 300 Coupe has been driven approximately 11,600 km per year, which is well below the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen in the GCC. This lower usage translates to less wear on the suspension and interior, providing a distinct advantage over higher-mileage local alternatives. The Grey finish is one of the top-performing resale colors in the UAE and Saudi markets, ensuring it holds its value better than louder or more niche paint options.

AMG vs Lower Trims

The AMG trim transforms the GLC 300 Coupe from a standard luxury crossover into a sports-inspired standout, adding the signature AMG body styling, diamond-block grille, and larger performance wheels. Inside, it upgrades the experience with a flat-bottom sport steering wheel and often includes the premium MBUX infotainment enhancements that GCC drivers prioritize. These visual and tactile upgrades are highly valued in the local market, often commanding a significant premium at resale over the base trim.

GLC 300 vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the BMW X4 and Audi Q5 Sportback, the GLC 300 Coupe leads with its superior 545-litre boot capacity and a more intuitive MBUX interface featuring a 10.25-inch touchscreen as standard. Its 9G-TRONIC transmission offers a more refined highway cruise than many rivals, making it ideal for the long, fast stretches between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The interior artistry of the Mercedes cabin remains a benchmark in this segment, offering a level of tactile luxury that rivals often struggle to match.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this 2.0L turbocharged unit typically ranges between 8.5L and 10.5L/100km, depending on how much time is spent in stop-start city traffic versus the open highway. As a Korean spec vehicle, parts are readily available through Mercedes-Benz's extensive UAE and GCC authorized service network, though buyers should ensure local workshop compatibility for software updates. This model year and trim combination typically sees a depreciation rate of 12–15% annually in the UAE, outperforming several American-brand rivals in long-term value retention.

Performance & Capability

The 255 hp turbocharged engine delivers a 0–100 km/h time of 6.2 seconds, providing confident acceleration for merging onto high-speed UAE motorways. The 4MATIC All-Wheel Drive system ensures maximum traction during the rare but heavy rainy seasons and provides stability on gravel or sandy surfaces often encountered near weekend retreats. With a top speed of 240 km/h and multiple drive modes including 'Sport+', it offers a dynamic driving experience that belies its SUV ride height.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for five passengers, featuring high-quality insulation that keeps the interior quiet and cool even in extreme 45°C summer heat. Standard dual-zone climate control with rear vents ensures all occupants stay comfortable during long cross-border drives, while the 40/20/40 split-folding rear seats allow for flexible cargo loading. The MBUX system with 'Hey Mercedes' voice control and standard smartphone integration makes navigating and staying connected effortless during long commutes.

Safety

Equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, this GLC 300 includes Blind Spot Assist and Active Brake Assist, both essential for managing fast-moving multi-lane highway traffic in the GCC. The standard ATTENTION ASSIST monitor is particularly useful for long desert drives, alerting the driver if signs of fatigue are detected. With multiple airbags and a reinforced safety cell, it provides the peace of mind expected from a leading German luxury manufacturer.

The bottom line

This is a prime opportunity for a buyer seeking a low-mileage, stylish German coupe-SUV that has already bypassed the heaviest initial depreciation while retaining a like-new feel.
