Summary

This Audi A5 S-Line stands out as a rare high-output 3.0L supercharged V6 model, offering a significant performance leap over the common 2.0L variants found in the market. As a GCC-spec convertible, it features the robust all-wheel-drive quattro system, making it a capable and stable cruiser for both coastal drives and high-speed highway commutes across the Emirates. The Red exterior is a bold choice that holds its appeal well in the premium lifestyle segment, while the S-Line trim ensures a sharper, more aggressive aesthetic. Given its age, this A5 has been maintained within a typical mileage range for the region, offering a balance of proven reliability and open-top luxury. For a buyer seeking the updated 2013 facelift with the more desirable 6-cylinder engine, this is a compelling opportunity to own a modern classic.

This Car vs Other 2013 Audi A5s

At 182,000 km, this A5 has seen average use for a UAE-based vehicle of this vintage, where long-distance commuting is standard. While many A5s from this year feature the entry-level 2.0L engine, this specific listing carries the far more desirable 3.0L V6 powerplant. The Red exterior is a stand-out choice that strengthens its resale position among enthusiasts looking for a sports-oriented aesthetic.

S-Line vs Lower Trims

The S-Line trim represents the peak of the A5 range, adding a sport-tuned suspension and a more aggressive body kit with deeper bumpers and side sills. Inside, it upgrades the experience with S-Line embossed leather seats, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, and premium brushed aluminum inlays. Most importantly for local buyers, this trim typically includes the high-fidelity Bang & Olufsen audio system as standard equipment.

A5 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the BMW 4 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet of the same era, the A5 leads with its standard quattro all-wheel-drive system, providing superior grip in wet or sandy conditions. The Audi’s 3.0L supercharged engine offers a smoother, more immediate power delivery than the turbocharged units found in many rivals. Additionally, its insulated soft-top is widely regarded for providing class-leading cabin quietness when closed.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the supercharged V6 is approximately 8.1L/100km on the highway, though this will rise in stop-start city traffic typical of Downtown Dubai or Riyadh. Audi's authorized service network is extensive across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring parts for the B8.5 generation remain readily available. While European convertibles face steeper depreciation than Japanese sedans, the rare 3.0L S-Line spec tends to retain its value better among second-hand luxury buyers.

Performance & Capability

The 272 hp supercharged V6 engine delivers a verified 0–100 km/h time of 5.9 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on the E11. Unlike the front-wheel-drive base models, this A5 utilizes the quattro system to distribute torque effectively across all four wheels, ensuring stability at its 250 km/h electronically limited top speed. Drive Select modes allow the driver to sharpen throttle response and steering weight for a more engaging experience.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a 4-seater layout featuring high-grade leather and three-zone climate control to manage the GCC summer heat effectively. The power-folding acoustic soft-top can be operated at speeds up to 50 km/h, allowing for quick transitions when the weather cools in the evening. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated cooling vents, a feature often overlooked in convertibles but essential for passenger comfort in this region.

Safety

Standard safety features on this S-Line trim include Audi’s electronic stability program (ESP), anti-lock brakes (ABS), and a comprehensive six-airbag system. The quattro all-wheel-drive system acts as a primary active safety feature, providing enhanced traction on slippery or sandy road surfaces. Parking is made easier with integrated rear sensors and a rearview camera, which were premium additions for the 2013 model year.

The bottom line

This 3.0L S-Line is the ideal choice for a buyer who wants the style of an Audi convertible without sacrificing the performance of a V6 engine. It represents a high-specification, GCC-standard opportunity that is increasingly hard to find in this condition.
