Summary

This 2022 M850i xDrive Coupe is a compelling blend of high-performance engineering and daily grand touring comfort. With mileage that aligns perfectly with the higher annual averages typical of GCC highway driving, it offers a distinct advantage for those seeking a well-maintained performance machine. The striking Green exterior is a unique, premium choice that stands out in a market dominated by white and silver, often appealing to collectors and enthusiasts alike. Positioned as the sweet spot in the 8 Series lineup, it provides M-car levels of acceleration without the punishing ride quality often found in track-focused rivals. For a GCC owner, the combination of advanced xDrive traction and a refined cabin makes it an ideal companion for the long, fast-paced stretches between the Emirates.

This Car vs Other 2022 M850is

With 47,000 km on the odometer, this M850i has been driven roughly 23,500 km per year, which is remarkably standard for the GCC region where long-distance commutes are the norm. While it sits at a typical mileage for its age locally, its American regional spec means it may feature different equipment packages compared to local units. The rare Green finish is a sophisticated departure from common local palettes, potentially aiding future resale to buyers seeking a more bespoke aesthetic.

xDrive vs Lower Trims

Stepping up to the M850i xDrive adds the formidable 4.4-litre V8, a significant jump in power and prestige over the 6-cylinder 840i. This trim also standardizes essential GCC luxury features, including ventilated front seats to combat summer heat and Integral Active Steering for improved maneuverability in tight city traffic. You also gain the M Sport differential and Adaptive M Suspension, providing a level of chassis control that entry-level models simply cannot match.

M850i vs Segment Rivals

The M850i competes directly with the Mercedes-AMG SL 55 and the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S. It leads the segment in grand touring practicality, offering a more usable 420-litre boot for weekend trips and a ride quality specifically tuned for high-speed highway refinement. While rivals focus heavily on track dynamics, the BMW provides a more isolated, quiet cabin that is far better suited to the daily stop-start traffic and long desert hauls of the Middle East.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages approximately 11.6 L/100km combined, though GCC highway cruising can see this improve significantly. BMW maintains a very strong authorized service presence across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts availability remains high despite the American regional spec. As a high-end luxury coupe, it follows a typical European depreciation curve of 12–15% annually, but the M-Performance branding helps it retain value better than standard 8 Series models.

Performance & Capability

Propelled by 523 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque, this coupe reaches 100 km/h in a verified 3.9 seconds. The xDrive all-wheel-drive system is rear-biased, providing the engagement of a sports car with the all-weather stability needed for sudden dust storms or rare rain events. Its 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission is widely regarded as one of the smoothest in the industry, making highway overtaking effortless at any speed.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the four-seat cabin is a masterclass in ergonomics, featuring standard ventilated front seats and multi-zone climate control essential for the GCC climate. The iDrive system is paired with a premium Harman Kardon audio setup and a large digital cockpit that stays visible even in the harsh midday sun. Superior cabin insulation ensures that the V8's growl is present when you want it, but filtered out during quiet evening drives across the city.

Safety

Standard safety tech includes a comprehensive ADAS suite with Frontal Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and Active Blind Spot Detection, which is invaluable on the UAE's multi-lane highways. The adaptive LED headlights with Laserlight technology provide exceptional visibility for night drives on unlit desert roads. Stability and traction control systems are specifically tuned to work seamlessly with the xDrive system, providing confidence on varying road surfaces.

The bottom line

Perfect for the executive who demands supercar acceleration in a package refined enough for a daily Dubai-to-Abu Dhabi commute; this specific listing offers a rare color and honest mileage for the savvy GCC buyer.
