Summary

This BMW M5 is a performance standout, featuring a power output upgraded to 700 hp, which places it significantly ahead of the factory-standard 560 hp. With its black exterior—a high-demand resale color in the GCC—this sedan maintains a sharp, executive look while concealing supercar levels of performance. For a 13-year-old vehicle, the 146,000 km mileage is well below the typical GCC average, making it an attractive prospect for buyers seeking a high-output daily driver. This model bridges the gap between refined luxury and raw speed, a characteristic that defines the F10 generation for local collectors and enthusiasts. Owners in the region will appreciate its ability to handle long cross-emirate highway stretches with stability and ease.

This Car vs Other 2013 M5s

At 146,000 km, this vehicle has been driven approximately 11,200 km per year, which is significantly lower than the GCC annual average of 20,000 km for high-performance sedans. Its black finish is a major advantage for resale in the local market, as it remains one of the most consistently sought-after colors for BMW's M division. This specific listing is particularly notable for its 700 hp output, offering a considerable power bump over unmodified 2013 models.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

As the flagship of the 5 Series range, the M5 trim includes an Active M Differential and M-specific suspension that lower-tier models like the 550i lack. It comes standard with a 10.2-inch iDrive display, Merino leather upholstery, and M-buttons on the steering wheel that allow for instant switching between comfort and performance modes. In the GCC, these standard M-specific upgrades are critical for maintaining the car's prestige and resale value compared to non-M models.

M5 vs Segment Rivals

This M5 competes directly with the Mercedes-AMG E63 and the Audi RS6, standing out with its rear-wheel-drive balance and precise steering feedback. Its 80-litre fuel tank is specifically beneficial for long-distance GCC drives, offering a longer highway range than many rivals of the same era. While the Audi RS6 relies on AWD, the M5 is often favored in the region for its more traditional, engaging sports sedan driving dynamics.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption typically averages around 14.0 L/100km in city traffic, dropping to approximately 7.6 L/100km during long highway cruises across the UAE. BMW has an extensive authorized service network across major GCC cities, ensuring reliable access to specialized M-division parts and maintenance. While European performance sedans experience higher depreciation than Japanese luxury brands, the F10 generation is currently entering a value-stable territory for well-maintained GCC-spec examples.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this vehicle is a 4.4L Twin-Turbo V8 that has been tuned to deliver 700 hp, ensuring effortless overtaking on high-speed roads like the E11. It achieves 0–100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds, with a chassis designed to maintain composure even in extreme summer heat. The 7-speed dual-clutch transmission provides near-instant gear changes, making it as capable on a track as it is on a commute.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is tailored for five occupants with high-quality Merino leather and quad-zone climate control, which is essential for maintaining comfort during the peak GCC summer. Power-adjustable sport seats and a driver-focused cockpit ensure a premium experience during long-distance trips between emirates. The 520-litre boot provides ample practical space, making this supercar-slaying sedan a genuinely usable family car.

Safety

This M5 is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including multiple airbags, dynamic stability control, and high-performance M-compound brakes for maximum stopping power. For GCC highway driving, features like front and rear parking sensors and cruise control add significant convenience. The structural integrity of the F10 chassis is highly regarded, providing peace of mind during both city commutes and high-speed highway travel.

The bottom line

This 700 hp M5 is a rare find for the performance-driven buyer who wants a well-maintained GCC-spec icon with lower-than-average mileage for its age.
