Summary

This Lexus GS350 is a rare find for buyers seeking a reliable, high-spec executive sedan that handles the UAE's long highway stretches with ease. As a 13-year-old vehicle with 191,000 km, its mileage sits well within the expected average for a luxury cruiser in the GCC, where 20,000 km per year is the standard. The Black exterior remains one of the strongest resale colors in the local market, ensuring it retains value better than more niche shades. Known for superior cabin cooling and bulletproof mechanicals, this GS350 offers a more durable alternative to its European rivals. It is a perfect choice for those who prioritize long-term ownership and refined comfort in extreme summer heat.

This Car vs Other 2013 GS350s

With 191,000 km on the clock, this GS350 has been driven approximately 14,700 km per year, which is significantly lower than the 20,000–25,000 km annual average typical for GCC-based executive cars. This lower-than-average usage for its age makes it a mechanically sound opportunity compared to high-mileage examples often found in the market. The classic Black finish is a high-demand color in the UAE, providing a distinct advantage for future resale value.

PRESTIGE vs Lower Trims

The Prestige trim elevates the GS350 experience by adding essential luxury features that GCC buyers value, such as ventilated front seats for summer comfort and an upgraded 12-speaker premium audio system. It typically includes the larger navigation screen and high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps with LED daytime running lights, which aren't always standard on base models. These additions provide a more executive feel and better utility for daily commuting between Emirates.

GS350 vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the BMW 5 Series and Audi A6 of the same era, the Lexus leads in long-term reliability and air conditioning performance, which is a critical differentiator during GCC summers. Its naturally aspirated V6 avoids the complexities of European turbocharged engines, leading to lower maintenance costs over time. The GS350 also benefits from a much wider authorized service network across the entire GCC, including Saudi Arabia and Oman.

Running Costs & Resale

Lexus is a leader in value retention in the UAE, with the GS350 typically depreciating at a slower rate of 8–10% annually compared to 15% or more for European competitors. Fuel consumption averages around 10.2 L/100km, which is efficient for a V6 when cruising on the E11 or E311 highways. Maintenance is straightforward with 10,000 km service intervals, and parts are readily available at both authorized Al Futtaim centers and specialized independent shops.

Performance & Capability

The 3.5-litre V6 delivers a smooth 306 hp, allowing for a verified 0–100 km/h sprint in just 6.0 seconds. This power is particularly useful for safe overtaking on fast-moving UAE highways where maintaining pace is essential. The six-speed automatic transmission is tuned for refinement, providing a composed ride even at the 140 km/h speed limits found on major cross-border routes.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is designed for five occupants with a focus on high-quality leather and ergonomic support for long-distance driving. Dual-zone climate control with powerful rear vents ensures all passengers remain cool during peak summer months. The cabin is well-insulated against road noise, creating a quiet environment that complements the premium 12-speaker audio system.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes 10 airbags and a robust suite of stability and traction control systems designed to handle varied road surfaces from city asphalt to sandy highway shoulders. The Prestige trim also features a rearview camera and front/rear parking sensors as standard, providing essential assistance in tight urban parking scenarios. Its high safety ratings and Lexus's reputation for build quality offer peace of mind for family use.

The bottom line

For the buyer who wants executive luxury without the high maintenance risks of European brands, this well-maintained, Black GS350 represents one of the most sensible and high-value opportunities in the current used market.
