Lexus IS250 PRESTIGE Gulf specification, full option, sunroof

Highlights

• Naturally aspirated V6 engine
• 225 km/h top speed
• Strong value retention in the GCC used market

Summary

This GCC-spec sedan offers a refined entry into the luxury executive segment, featuring a smooth 2.5L V6 that is increasingly rare among modern four-cylinder rivals. With mileage at 139,000 km, this car has been driven roughly 14,000 km per year, which is significantly below the 20,000-25,000 km GCC average for its age. The Grey exterior is a highly practical choice for the region, hiding dust well while maintaining strong resale demand in the UAE. As a Lexus, it stands out for its legendary reliability and cabin quietness compared to German competitors. For a GCC buyer, the primary draw here is the combination of premium brand status and a service network that is arguably the strongest in the region.

This Car vs Other 2014 IS250s

At 139,000 km, this vehicle represents a lower-than-average mileage option for a 10-year-old car in the GCC, where heavy highway use usually results in much higher odometer readings. The Grey paintwork is a neutral, high-demand color in the local market, ensuring better value retention than more niche shades. Being a GCC-spec model, it is fully optimized for the local climate, ensuring the cooling systems and air conditioning are prepared for summer heat.

PRESTIGE vs Lower Trims

The Prestige trim elevates the experience over base models by adding features highly valued by GCC drivers, such as high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps and premium leather-trimmed seating. It often includes enhanced climate control features and integrated parking sensors that simplify navigation in tight urban spaces like Dubai or Riyadh. These upgrades provide a more executive feel without the aggressive, firmer ride found in the F-Sport variants.

IS250 vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4 moved toward turbocharged four-cylinder engines, this model retains a naturally aspirated V6, providing a smoother, more linear power delivery. Lexus leads the segment in long-term reliability and authorized service center density across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. Its reputation for cabin insulation also makes it a quieter companion for long inter-city highway drives.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption typically averages around 9.2L/100km combined, with highway cruising dropping closer to 7.5L/100km. Maintenance is straightforward, with standard 10,000 km service intervals supported by the extensive Al Futtaim network in the UAE and similar authorized distributors across the GCC. Lexus models are among the slowest-depreciating vehicles in the region, typically retaining a higher percentage of their value after three years compared to European luxury sedans.

Performance & Capability

The 205 hp V6 allows for a top speed of 225 km/h, providing ample capability for high-speed highway cruising between emirates. The rear-wheel-drive chassis is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission that includes paddle shifters for moments when you want more engagement. Selectable drive modes, including ECO and SPORT, allow you to tailor the throttle response to suit city traffic or open desert roads.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the cabin is designed to shield five occupants from the external environment, featuring high-quality acoustic glass and soft-touch materials throughout. The air conditioning system is specifically engineered for the 45°C+ temperatures of the GCC, providing rapid cooling even after the car has been parked in the sun. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated cooling vents, a crucial feature for family comfort during the summer months.

Safety

Safety is a priority with a suite of 10 standard airbags and the Lexus Star Safety System, which includes stability control and traction control optimized for varying road surfaces. Standard anti-lock brakes (ABS) and electronic brakeforce distribution provide confidence during sudden stops on fast-moving highways. The car also features energy-absorbing crumple zones and side-impact door beams for enhanced passive protection.

The bottom line

This is a well-maintained, low-mileage example of one of the GCC's most trusted luxury sedans, perfect for a professional seeking a reliable, executive daily driver with strong resale prospects.
