Summary

This specific high-performance coupe is an exceptional find in the GCC market, combining a relatively moderate mileage of 95,000 km with a highly desirable black exterior that significantly boosts its resale potential in the region. Finding a genuine enthusiast-spec vehicle with these performance credentials in GCC specification is rare, ensuring better long-term value retention and easier servicing compared to imported American-spec alternatives. It stands out from standard performance rivals by offering a level of output that rivals modern supercars while maintaining the mechanical soul of a classic power plant. This vehicle represents a unique opportunity for a collector or performance enthusiast looking for a car that has already weathered its steepest depreciation curve. The robust build quality and cooling systems tailored for our climate make it a practical exotic for year-round use. It is a car that commands respect on any UAE highway while offering the reliability expected from a major manufacturer.

This Car vs Other 2014 Mustangs

With only 95,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven approximately 9,500 km per year, which is significantly lower than the GCC annual average of 20,000 to 25,000 km. This lower-than-average usage suggests much of its life has been spent as a weekend car or a pampered secondary vehicle, preserving its mechanical integrity and interior condition. In the UAE and wider GCC market, a black exterior is regarded as one of the top three colors for resale, often commanding a quicker sale and a price premium over less conventional shades. While many cars of this era have exceeded 150,000 km, this example remains in a prime bracket for both collectors and daily drivers. The GCC regional specification is the most critical factor here, as it ensures the cooling system and electrical components are factory-rated for our extreme summer temperatures. Buyers will find this example far more structurally sound and better preserved than the many high-mileage imports circulating in the local market.

ROUSH vs Lower Trims

Stepping into this specialized trim level elevates the vehicle far beyond the standard GT or middle-tier variants found in the region. The primary differentiator is the massive leap in power, with a specialized supercharging system that brings output to 680 horsepower—nearly 260 horsepower more than a standard 5.0 of the same year. This trim also includes extensive aerodynamic enhancements and cooling upgrades that are essential for maintaining performance during high-speed drives on the E11 or E311 highways. Inside, the cabin receives unique branding and premium upholstery that feels noticeably more substantial and luxurious than the base interior. Suspension components are specifically tuned to handle the massive torque, providing a more planted and confident feel during aggressive cornering. For the GCC buyer, this trim represents the highest factory-approved level of performance, offering a level of exclusivity that lower trims simply cannot match at car meets or on the road.

Mustang vs Segment Rivals

When compared to segment rivals like the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 or the Dodge Challenger SRT8, this vehicle offers a more visceral and raw connection to the road. It leads its class in terms of aftermarket support and parts availability across the GCC, making it much easier to maintain over long-term ownership compared to European sports coupes. While rivals often struggle with weight management, this model remains relatively agile, offering a sharper turn-in that is appreciated on technical roads like the Jebel Hafeet mountain pass. The 5.0-liter heart of this car is globally recognized for its durability, and in this specific trim, it outclasses most naturally aspirated competitors in pure acceleration. Additionally, the cabin layout provides a more driver-focused cockpit than the wider, more cumbersome interior found in some American competitors. Its combination of historic styling and modern supercharged power gives it a unique market position that appeals to both traditionalists and speed seekers.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this 680-horsepower machine reflects its high-performance nature, averaging around 14 to 16 liters per 100km in mixed GCC driving, though highway cruising can be surprisingly efficient. Fuel is widely available across the UAE and Saudi Arabia to meet its requirements, and the large fuel tank ensures acceptable range for long-distance hauls between cities. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, and because this is a GCC-spec vehicle, it is welcomed at authorized Ford service centers across all seven Emirates and neighboring countries. The depreciation rate for this specific high-tier trim is remarkably low; while base models lose value quickly, these specialized editions have historically held their value or even appreciated as they become modern classics. After ten years, most of the depreciation has already occurred, meaning a buyer today could potentially drive it for several years and sell it with minimal financial loss. Value retention at this stage in the GCC market is exceptionally strong for well-maintained, GCC-spec examples.

Performance & Capability

The headline figure is the staggering 680 horsepower, which translates to a 0-100 km/h time that rivals much more expensive European supercars, often clocking in under 4 seconds under ideal conditions. On the wide-open highways of the UAE, this power provides effortless overtaking capability and a top speed that is electronically limited well beyond legal limits. The rear-wheel-drive layout and automatic transmission are calibrated to manage the massive torque, providing smooth shifts in traffic and aggressive response when pushed. Specialized performance cooling ensures the engine remains within optimal temperature ranges even when the outside air hits 45 degrees Celsius. This capability is not just about straight-line speed; the upgraded braking system provides consistent stopping power, which is vital for safety on fast-moving highways. Whether it is a Friday morning drive to Al Qudra or a professional track day at the Dubai Autodrome, the car delivers a level of performance that is both accessible and thrilling.

Comfort & Cabin

Despite its focused performance, the cabin is designed for four occupants and offers a surprising level of comfort for long-distance grand touring through the desert. The air conditioning system is particularly robust, a hallmark of Ford’s GCC-spec vehicles, capable of cooling the cabin rapidly after being parked in the sun. Premium leather seating provides excellent lateral support during spirited driving while remaining comfortable for two-hour commutes between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The interior features high-quality touchpoints and the Shaker premium audio system, which delivers crystal clear sound that remains audible even over the roar of the supercharged V8. Storage space is surprisingly generous for a coupe, with a boot capable of holding several weekend bags for a getaway to Ras Al Khaimah. Noise insulation has been improved in this trim to ensure that while you hear the engine when you want to, the cabin remains a refined place for highway travel.

Safety

Safety is managed through a comprehensive suite of active and passive systems designed to handle high-performance scenarios. AdvanceTrac stability control is tuned specifically for this trim, allowing for a safety net that intervenes only when necessary to keep the 680 horsepower under control on sand-dusted roads. Anti-lock braking with electronic brakeforce distribution ensures the car stays straight and true during emergency stops on fast highways. Blind-spot mirrors and a solid structural cage provide peace of mind in heavy city traffic where visibility is key. Passive safety includes a full array of dual-stage front and side airbags, which were top-rated for this model year. This car offers a more mechanical and predictable safety feel than modern cars over-encumbered by digital interventions, giving the driver total confidence during high-speed maneuvers.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec ROUSH Mustang is the perfect choice for a UAE-based enthusiast who demands supercar performance with the reliability and ease of maintenance of a Ford. Given its relatively low mileage and excellent color choice, this listing represents one of the most stable performance investments currently available in the regional used market.
