Summary

This 2014 Infiniti QX60 Premium represents a refined choice for families needing a genuine seven-seat SUV with high levels of standard equipment. Finished in White—a high-demand resale color in the GCC—this AWD variant is powered by the dependable 3.5L V6 engine, offering 265 horsepower for smooth highway cruising between Emirates. While its 190,000 km mileage is typical for a decade-old vehicle in the region, the Premium trim adds luxury essentials like a 360-degree camera and upgraded audio that still feel modern today. For the GCC buyer, this model stands out for its tri-zone climate control that remains effective even in mid-summer heat. It serves as a comfortable, road-biased alternative to more rugged 4x4s, prioritizing cabin refinement and passenger flexibility.

This Car vs Other 2014 QX60s

At 190,000 km, this QX60 has been driven approximately 19,000 km per year, which is well within the typical GCC average of 20,000–25,000 km for large family SUVs. Its White exterior is a significant advantage, as it is the most popular resale color in the UAE and Saudi markets due to its heat-reflective properties. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it avoids the insurance and warranty complications often found with American or European imports.

PREMIUM vs Lower Trims

The Premium trim significantly upgrades the ownership experience over the base model by adding the 13-speaker Bose Cabin Surround sound system and the Around View Monitor with 360-degree cameras. It also includes a heated steering wheel and dual-occupant memory for the driver's seat and mirrors, features that are highly valued in a shared family vehicle. These additions make the Premium trim more desirable in the used market than the entry-level configurations.

QX60 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Lexus RX or the Acura MDX, the QX60 leads in third-row access thanks to its unique second-row sliding and tilting mechanism that works even with a child seat installed. Its 73-litre fuel tank provides a substantial highway range for long-distance trips to Oman or across the UAE. While rivals may offer more off-road hardware, the QX60 is purpose-built for superior on-road comfort and cabin space.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.5L V6 typically averages around 11.0L/100km on the highway, though GCC stop-start city traffic can push this toward 14.5L/100km. Infiniti has a well-established authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts availability remains strong. Depreciation for this model year has stabilized, typically losing 10-12% annually, which is competitive for the Japanese luxury segment.

Performance & Capability

The 265-horsepower V6 engine provides linear power delivery, making highway overtaking effortless even when the car is fully loaded with seven passengers. The Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system enhances stability during the rare but heavy rain showers in the region and provides better traction on sandy road shoulders. It is rated for a maximum towing capacity of up to 2,268 kg (5,000 lbs), making it suitable for light boat or jet ski trailers.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for GCC family logistics, featuring a tri-zone automatic climate control system with dedicated vents for all three rows to ensure rapid cooling after being parked in the sun. Leather upholstery and maple wood accents provide a premium feel, while the sunroof helps the cabin feel airy. Noise insulation is a strong suit, keeping the interior quiet during high-speed highway commutes between Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Safety

This trim is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including the 360° Around View Monitor which is essential for parking a large SUV in tight city malls. Standard safety features include six airbags, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, and Brake Assist. The vehicle earned a 5-star overall safety rating from the NHTSA, providing peace of mind for family buyers prioritizing passenger protection.

The bottom line

Perfect for the growing family seeking a luxury seven-seater that balances Japanese reliability with high-end tech, this GCC-spec QX60 Premium is a sensible and stylish value proposition.
