Summary

This Range Rover represents a high-specification entry into the luxury SUV segment, featuring the powerful supercharged V8 engine that is highly sought after for GCC highway cruising. As a Vogue SE trim, it offers a significant step up in cabin refinement and technology over the base models, making it a competitive choice for those who prioritize interior comfort. The black exterior is a perennial favorite in the UAE market, ensuring strong resale interest and a timeless aesthetic. While the mileage is reflective of a well-used regional commuter, these vehicles are engineered for the long-distance, high-speed travel typical of the Emirates. The combination of all-terrain capability and executive luxury remains the benchmark for buyers across the GCC.

This Car vs Other 2014 Range Rovers

At 218,000 km, this vehicle has served as a dedicated long-distance cruiser, which is common for luxury SUVs in the UAE where annual distances often exceed 25,000 km. While the mileage is higher than the average listed example, it typically indicates a life spent on well-maintained highways rather than in stop-start city traffic. The black-on-black color combination remains one of the most liquid and desirable specs for resale in the local market.

VOGUE SE vs Lower Trims

The Vogue SE trim adds essential features for the GCC climate, most notably the climate-controlled front and rear seats that provide cooling during summer months. It also upgrades the audio experience to the 825W Meridian Surround Sound system with 17 speakers, compared to the standard 11-speaker setup. Additionally, you receive 21-inch split-spoke alloy wheels and soft-close doors, providing a more executive feel than the base Vogue trim.

Range Rover vs Segment Rivals

The Range Rover leads competitors like the Mercedes-Benz G-Class and Lexus LX 570 in terms of pure on-road refinement and high-speed stability. Its 105-litre fuel tank is specifically advantageous for long-distance drives across the Emirates, offering greater range between fills than most sport-biased SUVs. The sophisticated Terrain Response 2 system also provides a more intuitive off-road experience for weekend desert excursions compared to its European rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 5.0L Supercharged V8 typically averages around 13.8L/100km, though this can rise in dense Dubai or Riyadh traffic. Authorized service centers are widely available across all GCC countries, with recommended service intervals every 13,000 km or 12 months. As an American spec vehicle, it is important to verify service history at local specialists, as it may not carry the same agency service contract as a GCC-spec equivalent, though parts availability remains excellent throughout the region.

Performance & Capability

The 510 hp Supercharged V8 delivers a 0–100 km/h time of approximately 5.4 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on fast-moving highways like the E11. Its adjustable air suspension offers up to 295 mm of ground clearance, making it exceptionally capable for light desert driving or navigating deep sand tracks. With a verified wading depth of 900 mm and a 3,500 kg braked towing capacity, it remains one of the most versatile platforms for both luxury commuting and weekend adventures.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary of Semi-Aniline leather and real wood veneers, designed to isolate passengers from external heat and road noise. GCC buyers will appreciate the four-zone climate control, allowing rear passengers to manage their own cooling, and the refrigerated compartment in the center console for keeping beverages cold. The 5-seat layout provides ample legroom, which was increased in this generation to better accommodate adult passengers during long cross-border road trips.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive with a suite of advanced driver assistance systems including Blind Spot Monitoring, which is essential for the UAE's multi-lane highway system. It features multiple airbags, Electronic Traction Control, and Cornering Brake Control to maintain stability on varied surfaces. The high driving position combined with a 360-degree camera system makes navigating tight urban parking in major cities significantly easier.

The bottom line

This Vogue SE is the ideal choice for a buyer seeking the prestige and power of a Supercharged V8 Range Rover at a more accessible entry point, perfectly suited for the long-distance driving culture of the GCC.
