Summary

This 2016 Range Rover Vogue SE is a standout choice in the luxury SUV market, combining the immense 510 hp power of Land Rover’s 5.0L Supercharged V8 with a premium featureset. In the GCC market, black remains one of the most desirable resale colors for the Range Rover, ensuring this vehicle holds its value better than more niche palettes. With 178,000 km, this vehicle has been driven exactly as expected for its 10 years of age, reflecting typical long-distance highway use common in the UAE and wider region. The Vogue SE trim bridges the gap between the standard model and the top-tier Autobiography, offering semi-aniline leather and cooled seats that are essential for the Gulf climate. For the serious buyer, the combination of GCC specifications and the high-output V8 makes this a more robust and prestigious option than the smaller V6 variants.

This Car vs Other 2016 Range Rovers

With a mileage of 178,000 km, this 10-year-old Range Rover aligns perfectly with the GCC average of 18,000–20,000 km per year, indicating consistent use rather than neglect or excessive wear. The black exterior is a high-demand color in the local market, which typically commands a faster sale and better price retention compared to brighter or non-standard hues.

VOGUE SE vs Lower Trims

The Vogue SE significantly upgrades the cabin experience over the standard Vogue by introducing perforated Semi-Aniline leather and ventilated seats for both front and rear passengers—a vital feature for GCC summers. It also adds the 825W Meridian Surround Sound system and 21-inch split-spoke alloy wheels, providing a sharper look and superior acoustic performance.

Range Rover vs Segment Rivals

The Range Rover leads rivals like the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE in pure off-road pedigree, featuring a sophisticated Terrain Response 2 system and adjustable air suspension for superior ground clearance. Its 105-liter fuel tank is specifically advantageous for long-distance desert highway drives between Emirates, offering greater range than many of its German competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 5.0L Supercharged V8 averages approximately 13.8L/100km, though this can increase in stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. As a GCC-spec model, it benefits from a wide network of authorized Al Tayer or Al Futtaim service centers across the region, supporting better long-term reliability. Resale value remains stable for the L405 generation, typically depreciating at a more predictable rate than non-regional import models.

Performance & Capability

The 510 hp Supercharged V8 delivers a 0–100 km/h time of just 5.4 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on fast-moving highways. Its legendary all-wheel-drive system and twin-speed transfer box allow for genuine desert exploration, while the air suspension ensures a smooth ride over both dunes and city tarmac. With a 3,500 kg braked towing capacity, it remains one of the most capable luxury tow vehicles available.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary of luxury, featuring a 5-seat layout with multi-zone climate control that includes dedicated rear vents and controls to battle high external temperatures. Standard acoustic glass and thick insulation provide a quiet environment, shielding passengers from road noise and heat. The inclusion of a cooled center console refrigerator ensures beverages stay chilled during long summer drives.

Safety

This Range Rover is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including advanced stability control, roll stability control, and a reinforced aluminum monocoque for maximum impact protection. Standard features on the Vogue SE include a 360-degree camera system, blind-spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control, which are particularly effective for navigating high-speed multi-lane traffic across the GCC.

The bottom line

This is an ideal opportunity for a buyer seeking the prestige and power of a full-size Range Rover V8 in a sought-after GCC specification and timeless color.
