Summary

This 2014 Lexus IS250 Premier offers a compelling entry into executive ownership, particularly as modern rivals have largely pivoted to smaller four-cylinder engines. With 139,000 km, its mileage sits well below the typical 240,000 km expected for a vehicle of this age in the GCC, suggesting a life spent with less highway stress than most local examples. The Grey exterior is one of the most practical and sought-after colors in the UAE, known for hiding dust and retaining strong resale value. As the top-tier Premier trim, this car is equipped with luxury features often missing in the secondary market, such as ventilated seating and premium audio. For the GCC buyer, the primary advantage is the legendary reliability of the Lexus 6-cylinder powertrain and an authorized service network that remains the most extensive in the region.

This Car vs Other 2014 IS250s

At 139,000 km, this vehicle has averaged approximately 11,500 km per year, which is nearly half the 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. This significantly lower mileage makes it a standout choice for buyers prioritizing mechanical longevity. The Grey paintwork is a high-demand shade in the local market, ensuring it stays relevant and easier to trade in later compared to brighter or niche colors.

PREMIER vs Lower Trims

The Premier trim is a significant step up from the Prestige and Platinum grades, adding essential GCC comforts like ventilated front seats to combat summer heat. It also upgrades the cabin with a 15-speaker Mark Levinson audio system and a 7-inch HDD navigation display with Remote Touch. Additional safety tech standard on this trim includes Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which are highly beneficial for the fast-paced multi-lane highway driving common in Dubai and Riyadh.

IS250 vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the BMW 3 Series or Mercedes-Benz C-Class of the same era, the IS250 leads with its naturally aspirated V6, which offers smoother power delivery and lower long-term maintenance costs in high-heat conditions. Its cabin insulation and air conditioning performance are specifically engineered to handle 45°C+ temperatures more effectively than many European counterparts. Furthermore, its reputation for durability makes it a much safer bet for those looking to avoid the common electrical gremlins of its German rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

Lexus maintains some of the strongest value retention in the GCC market, typically depreciating at just 8–10% annually compared to 15%+ for European luxury brands. Service intervals are 10,000 km, and with Al-Futtaim and other major authorized centers across the GCC, parts are always readily available. Real-world fuel consumption averages around 9.2 L/100km, which is efficient for a 6-cylinder engine during cross-emirate highway commutes.

Performance & Capability

The 2.5L V6 produces a refined 205 hp, allowing for a top speed of 225 km/h and a 0–100 km/h time of approximately 8.1 seconds. While not a track car, the rear-wheel-drive chassis provides excellent balance for highway overtaking and confident handling on winding roads. The Drive Mode Select system allows you to toggle between ECO and SPORT modes, adjusting throttle response to suit either heavy city traffic or open desert roads.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a quiet sanctuary thanks to acoustic glass and extensive sound dampening, designed to isolate passengers from the noise of GCC motorways. The Premier trim features high-quality leather and ventilated seats that provide immediate cooling during the peak of summer. Rear-seat passengers benefit from dedicated AC vents, and the power rear sunshade adds an extra layer of heat protection for occupants.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive on the Premier trim, featuring 8 airbags and a reinforced body structure that earned high ratings in global testing. It includes an Advanced Braking System with Brake Assist, which is vital for the sudden stops often encountered in urban traffic. The Blind Spot Monitor is particularly useful for changing lanes on wide, 6-lane highways where smaller vehicles can easily be missed.

The bottom line

This IS250 is an ideal match for a professional looking for a refined, low-mileage executive sedan that won't suffer the high maintenance costs or rapid depreciation of its rivals. It represents a rare opportunity to own a top-spec, GCC-original Lexus with plenty of mechanical life remaining.
