Summary

This Lexus ES350 offers a refined entry into executive motoring, blending a potent 272 hp V6 engine with the legendary comfort that defines the brand. At 10 years old with 151,000 km, its mileage is notably lower than the GCC average of 200,000 km for this age, suggesting a well-preserved mechanical life. The Grey exterior is a highly practical choice for the region, resisting the visible effects of dust while maintaining excellent resale appeal in the secondary market. As an American-spec model, it often features premium interior tech and audio configurations that offer a distinct value proposition compared to local market versions. For a GCC buyer seeking a smooth, quiet commuter that handles long highway stretches between emirates with ease, this ES350 remains a gold standard in reliability.

This Car vs Other 2016 ES350s

With 151,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has averaged roughly 15,100 km per year, which is significantly below the 20,000–25,000 km average typical for the GCC region. This lower-than-average usage often translates to less wear on the suspension and interior components, providing a mechanical advantage for the next owner. The Grey finish is one of the most resilient colors for the local climate, masking desert dust effectively and ensuring a quicker sale when it is time to upgrade.

PREMIER vs Lower Trims

The Premier trim provides a noticeable step up in luxury, typically adding features like ventilated front seats and driver memory settings which are essential for comfort during the peak GCC summer. It also includes upgraded interior finishes and a power-adjustable steering column, offering a more tailored driving environment than the base models. Many units in this specification also benefit from the Lexus Premium Sound system, providing a superior acoustic experience for long-distance commutes.

ES350 vs Segment Rivals

The Lexus ES350 leads rivals like the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class in terms of long-term reliability and lower maintenance costs, which are critical factors in the GCC used market. While European competitors focus on sporty handling, the ES350 prioritizes a cushioned ride and cabin silence that excels on the straight, high-speed highways of the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, the 3.5L V6 is celebrated for its longevity, often outlasting the turbocharged four-cylinder engines found in many segment rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

Lexus maintains some of the strongest value retention in the GCC, with the ES series typically depreciating at just 8–10% annually compared to 15%+ for European grand tourers. Real-world fuel consumption averages around 9.5 L/100km, which is efficient for a V6 when cruising at highway speeds between cities. Authorized service centers are widely available through Al-Futtaim in the UAE and similarly large distributors across the GCC, ensuring parts are always accessible. As an American-spec car, buyers should ensure it has been properly adapted for local temperatures to maintain its long-term resale potential.

Performance & Capability

The 3.5L V6 engine produces a smooth 272 hp, allowing for a 0–100 km/h sprint in 7.5 seconds, which provides plenty of punch for overtaking on fast-moving highways like Sheikh Zayed Road. The six-speed automatic transmission is engineered for seamless shifts, focusing on passenger comfort rather than aggressive performance. While it is a road-biased sedan, its front-wheel-drive configuration provides stable traction during rare rainy spells or on sand-dusted coastal roads. The suspension is specifically tuned to filter out road imperfections, making it one of the most comfortable long-distance cruisers in its class.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the intense GCC heat, featuring a high-capacity air conditioning system and ventilated seats that are standard on this trim level. Rear passengers enjoy class-leading legroom, making it an excellent choice for families or for those using it as a chauffeur-driven executive vehicle. The 430-litre boot provides ample space for luggage or large grocery runs, further enhanced by a rear-seat pass-through for longer items. Every surface is finished with high-quality soft-touch materials, designed to withstand the high-UV environment of the region without premature fading.

Safety

The 2016 ES350 comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety features including 10 standard airbags and stability control to manage varied road surfaces. Standard driver aids such as blind-spot monitoring are particularly useful for navigating multi-lane highway traffic, while the integrated rearview camera makes parking in tight urban spaces straightforward. The vehicle's structural integrity is highly rated, providing peace of mind for family travel across the Emirates.

The bottom line

For the buyer who prioritizes legendary Lexus reliability and below-average mileage, this ES350 Premier is a smart, high-value alternative to more expensive newer sedans.
