Summary

This 2014 Ghost represents a significant entry point into the world of Rolls-Royce, offering the peerless refinement of a hand-assembled V12 in a timeless white finish that remains a top choice for resale in the GCC. With 82,000 km, this vehicle has been driven well below the regional average for its age, suggesting a life of careful use rather than heavy commuting. The Japanese regional specification is highly regarded in the UAE for its typically meticulous maintenance history and high interior preservation standards. While it offers a more compact and driver-focused experience than the larger Phantom, it maintains the 'magic carpet ride' essential for navigating long UAE highway stretches in total serenity. For a buyer seeking the ultimate executive statement without the depreciation curve of a newer model, this Ghost is a compelling local opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2014 Ghosts

At 82,000 km, this Ghost has covered roughly 8,200 km per year, which is exceptionally low compared to the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen in the GCC. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the local market, ensuring it stays cooler in the summer sun and maintains higher demand at resale. Its Japanese provenance often means the cabin leather and wood veneers have been shielded from the intense UV exposure common in locally-delivered cars of the same age.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The Ghost serves as a standalone tier of luxury where most 'options' on other cars are standard here, including the world-class air suspension and soft-close doors. This specific example features the iconic Spirit of Ecstasy and a hand-finished leather interior that rivals the bespoke commissions found in higher-tier Phantoms. Unlike base-model executive sedans, the Ghost includes a high-fidelity 16-speaker audio system and multi-zone climate control as standard to ensure passenger comfort in the Gulf heat.

Ghost vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Bentley Flying Spur or the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, the Ghost leads with its unique rear-hinged 'coach doors' that provide unparalleled ease of entry and exit. Its V12 engine is celebrated for having 80% of its torque available from just 1,500 RPM, offering effortless overtaking on the E11 highway that smaller-displacement rivals cannot match. The sheer presence and brand equity of the Rolls-Royce badge provide a level of social currency that remains unmatched in the luxury sedan segment.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 14.3L/100km combined, which is expected for a heavy V12 luxury cruiser; however, the 82-litre fuel tank provides ample range for cross-emirate trips. While Japanese-spec cars are generally very well-maintained, UAE buyers should note that authorized service centers are available in Dubai and Abu Dhabi for specialized maintenance. In the GCC market, the Ghost follows a steadier depreciation curve than its German rivals, holding a higher percentage of its value after the initial five-year period.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this vehicle is the BMW-sourced N74 6.6-litre V12, producing 563 hp and propelling this 2.4-tonne sedan to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. The 8-speed satellite-aided transmission uses GPS data to pre-select gears for upcoming hills or turns, ensuring the drive remains seamless even on varying terrain. Despite its size, the Ghost handles long-distance cruises with a level of stability and quietness that makes four-hour drives across the border feel significantly shorter.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is a sanctuary of acoustic glass and deep-pile lambswool carpets, designed to isolate occupants from the noise and heat of the city. The air conditioning system is exceptionally robust, featuring multiple zones to keep the rear VIP area at a precise temperature even when exterior heat exceeds 45°C. The seats are wide and supportive, finished in premium hides that remain soft and supple, reflecting the high-quality care typical of Japanese imports.

Safety

Standard safety features include a comprehensive array of airbags and advanced stability control systems that manage the car's weight during emergency maneuvers. The Ghost is equipped with a high-resolution camera system and parking sensors, which are vital for navigating tight parking areas in major UAE malls and business districts. Its heavy-duty braking system and adaptive headlights provide excellent visibility and stopping power for fast-moving highway traffic.

The bottom line

This Ghost is the ideal choice for a professional who demands the prestige of a Rolls-Royce with a well-preserved interior and low mileage that beats the local market average. It offers the best of British luxury and Japanese maintenance, making it a standout executive purchase in the UAE today.
