Summary

This 2015 Honda Accord Coupe EXI is a rare find in the GCC market, offering the perfect blend of sporty coupe styling with the legendary reliability of the Accord nameplate. Finished in Silver, it sits in the most resilient color category for resale value across the UAE and wider region. While the mileage reflects its life as a dependable daily commuter, the 2.4-litre i-VTEC engine is renowned for its ability to handle high-mileage GCC highway use with ease. This GCC-spec model ensures the cooling system and air conditioning are fully optimized for extreme desert summers. It represents a smart opportunity for a buyer seeking a stylish, reliable 2-door that remains practical for five passengers.

This Car vs Other 2015 Accord Coupes

With 225,000 km, this Accord has been driven slightly above the GCC annual average of 25,000 km, yet its mechanical health is supported by Honda's robust engineering. In a market where many coupes are imported with unknown histories, this genuine GCC-spec unit offers much higher peace of mind. The Silver exterior is a significant advantage, as it is one of the top three colors for heat reflection and resale demand in the local market.

EXI vs Lower Trims

The EXI trim significantly upgrades the ownership experience over the base LX, adding features essential for the GCC climate such as a power moonroof and a more sophisticated dual-screen infotainment setup. It also introduces Smart Entry and a push-button start system, which are highly valued by buyers in this region. You also benefit from upgraded 17-inch alloy wheels and integrated fog lamps that give the coupe a more premium on-road presence.

Accord Coupe vs Segment Rivals

Compared to rivals like the Nissan Altima Coupe or Toyota Zelas, the Accord Coupe leads with a more refined interior and superior chassis balance. Its 65-litre fuel tank and efficient i-VTEC engine make it a preferred choice for long-distance hauls between Emirates. The Accord also offers more genuine rear-seat legroom than most 2-door competitors, making it a more versatile daily driver for small families.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.4L powertrain delivers an efficient real-world combined fuel consumption of approximately 8.2 L/100km, keeping running costs low even in stop-start city traffic. Service intervals are typically set at 10,000 km, and with the massive Al Futtaim and GCC-wide distributor networks, parts are affordable and readily available. The Accord Coupe maintains one of the lowest annual depreciation rates in its segment, typically losing only 8-10% in value per year.

Performance & Capability

The 191 hp output from the 2.4-litre engine provides smooth, linear power that is ideal for overtaking on the E11 highway. While focused on comfort, the suspension is tuned to be firm enough for confident cornering without sacrificing the ride quality needed for rougher secondary roads. The automatic transmission is calibrated to keep the engine in its optimal power band while maintaining high-speed cruising refinement.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the cabin is designed to shield occupants from the 50°C summer heat with a powerful, fast-acting dual-zone climate control system. The EXI trim features high-quality fabric or leatherette surfaces that stay cooler in direct sunlight than dark leather alternatives. Acoustic glass and extensive insulation ensure a quiet cabin environment, even at high highway speeds, making it a comfortable grand tourer for cross-border trips.

Safety

Safety is a priority with a suite of 6 airbags and Honda's Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure. The EXI comes standard with Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Traction Control, and Anti-lock Braking (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution, providing essential stability on sandy or rain-slicked roads. The inclusion of a multi-angle rearview camera makes parking this long-door coupe in tight city spots considerably safer.

The bottom line

This is an ideal choice for a professional or enthusiast looking for a stylish, GCC-spec Japanese coupe that won't break the bank on maintenance. Its high-mileage durability and silver-on-silver resale strength make it a low-risk entry into the sporty car segment.
