Summary

This 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited represents a robust opportunity for a GCC buyer seeking V8 muscle without the premium price of a newer model. Finished in black, which remains one of the strongest resale colors in the UAE and wider region, it combines refined city looks with genuine HEMI-powered capability. While the mileage reflects consistent use on the UAE's high-speed highway network, the 5.7L engine is renowned for its long-distance durability. This SUV offers a unique middle ground, providing more character and towing power than contemporary 4-cylinder rivals while maintaining a premium cabin feel. For the cross-emirate commuter or weekend adventurer, it stands as a reliable and versatile choice in the local market.

This Car vs Other 2015 Grand Cherokees

At 223,113 km, this vehicle has seen slightly higher than average use for its age, but in the GCC context, this often points to healthy highway-based mileage rather than heavy city idling. The black exterior is a high-demand choice in the local used market, ensuring faster resale compared to niche colors. It features the desirable 5.7L V8, which is less common and more sought after than the base 3.6L V6 found in most listings of this year.

LIMITED vs Lower Trims

Choosing the Limited trim over the base Laredo adds essential features for the GCC climate, including leather upholstery and a more powerful dual-zone climate control system. It also upgrades the driving experience with a power liftgate, 18-inch polished wheels, and the larger 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen. Most importantly for local safety, it includes a rearview camera and park assist sensors as standard equipment.

Grand Cherokee vs Segment Rivals

The Grand Cherokee leads rivals like the Ford Explorer and Toyota Prado in terms of on-road engine character, offering a traditional American V8 rumble that competitors' V6 and I4 engines lack. Its unibody construction provides better high-speed stability on the E11 than the body-on-frame Prado, while the Quadra-Trac II system gives it a clear off-road edge over the road-biased Explorer. For long desert highway drives, the Jeep's 93-litre fuel tank provides excellent range between stops.

Running Costs & Resale

The 5.7L HEMI V8 utilizes a Multi-Displacement System (MDS) to shut down four cylinders during highway cruising, helping to manage fuel consumption on long runs between cities. Authorized service centers are widely available across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, making parts and maintenance easily accessible. In the GCC market, V8-equipped Grand Cherokees typically hold their value better than their V6 counterparts due to their higher demand for towing and enthusiast use.

Performance & Capability

This Jeep is powered by the legendary 5.7-litre HEMI V8 producing 360 hp, delivering a 0-100 km/h time of approximately 7.1 seconds. The Selec-Terrain system allows you to optimize the 4WD system for Sand or Mud, making it perfectly suited for weekend escapes to the dunes. With a braked towing capacity of up to 3,266 kg, it is one of the most capable vehicles in its class for hauling boats or trailers across the region.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for long-distance comfort, featuring eight-way power-adjustable leather seats with memory settings to ensure the perfect driving position for long trips. The powerful air conditioning is engineered for GCC summers, quickly cooling the 5-seat interior even in peak heat. Triple-seal doors and acoustic glass help isolate the cabin from wind noise during high-speed highway travel between emirates.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on the Limited trim includes seven airbags, including a driver’s knee airbag, and electronic stability control with roll mitigation. For daily GCC driving, the trailer-sway control and Hill Start Assist provide added confidence on varied terrain. The vehicle also features high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps with signature LED daytime running lights for improved visibility during night-time desert drives.

The bottom line

For the buyer who wants V8 performance and premium Jeep features in a GCC-spec package, this Grand Cherokee Limited is a proven, capable workhorse ready for its next chapter.
