Summary

This Mitsubishi Lancer EX GLX represents an exceptional find for the UAE market, boasting an incredibly low mileage of just 49,000 km—roughly a quarter of what is typical for a 2015 model in this region. Finished in a practical and resale-friendly Grey, this sedan offers the mechanical simplicity and legendary Japanese reliability that GCC commuters prioritize for daily use. While rivals have come and gone, the Lancer EX remains a staple on regional roads due to its ability to handle extreme summer heat without missing a beat. For a buyer seeking a long-term, low-maintenance workhorse with significant life left in the engine, this low-mileage example is a standout opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer EXs

With only 49,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven approximately 5,000 km per year, which is significantly lower than the GCC average of 20,000–25,000 km. Most 2015 Lancers currently on the market have surpassed the 150,000 km mark, making this a rare low-usage example. The Grey exterior is a highly desirable shade in the secondary market, ensuring it stays cooler in the sun compared to darker tones while maintaining strong resale appeal.

GLX vs Lower Trims

The GLX trim provides the essential upgrades over the base fleet versions, including color-coded bumpers and mirrors that give the car a more premium, unified look. Inside, you benefit from power windows across all four doors and a multi-speaker audio system, providing a more comfortable environment for family trips. It retains the durable mechanical components favored by long-term owners who value simplicity and parts availability over complex electronics.

Lancer EX vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Toyota Corolla or Nissan Sunny, the Lancer EX is often praised for its sharper handling and more planted feel on the highway thanks to its multi-link rear suspension. It offers a generous boot capacity of approximately 400 litres, making it more practical for large grocery runs or airport trips than several compact rivals. The 59-litre fuel tank provides a substantial cruising range, a major benefit for those commuting between Emirates like Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Running Costs & Resale

Maintenance is exceptionally straightforward in the GCC, with Al Habtoor Motors providing one of the most comprehensive service networks across the UAE. Real-world fuel efficiency typically ranges between 7.5L/100km and 8.5L/100km, making it an economical choice for stop-start city traffic. Historically, the Lancer EX demonstrates some of the strongest value retention in its segment, depreciating much slower than European or American counterparts due to the high demand for Japanese sedans.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a dependable 4-cylinder engine, the Lancer EX is tuned specifically for the demands of regional driving, offering smooth power delivery through its automatic transmission. The chassis is designed for stability at highway speeds, providing a confident feel when overtaking on multi-lane roads. Its 16-inch wheels and specialized suspension are built to withstand the rigors of GCC road conditions, from high-speed motorways to uneven inner-city streets.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for functional comfort, featuring a powerful air conditioning system engineered to reach optimal temperatures quickly even when ambient heat exceeds 45°C. The five-seat layout provides ample headroom for adult passengers in both the front and rear, while the 60:40 split-folding rear seats allow for flexible cargo management. High-quality upholstery and an ergonomic dashboard layout ensure a pleasant driving experience for both short commutes and longer inter-city drives.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), ensuring controlled stopping power in emergency situations. The vehicle is constructed with Mitsubishi's Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) body design, which effectively absorbs energy during a collision to protect occupants. Active stability systems and front airbags provide essential peace of mind for daily family use on busy GCC highways.

The bottom line

For the sensible buyer who values low mileage and proven reliability above all else, this GCC-spec Lancer EX is the ultimate trouble-free commuter.
