The positive reception from the public and auto enthusiasts greenlit further development. Porsche engineers spent the next few years refining the concept car into a production reality. After a lot of crafting and attention to detail, Porsche officially approved the 918 Spyder for series production.
Production of the 918 Spyder is limited, with as the name suggests only 918 units ever built.
 
With the creation of its powerful and lightweight body, the 918 Spyder translates into great acceleration. It gives a shocking acceleration by going 0-100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds, leaving most supercars in the dust. The top speed is equally impressive, reaching approximately 345 km/h.
