Summary

This 2016 Bentley Continental GT Mulliner represents a sophisticated entry into the ultra-luxury grand touring segment, featuring the desirable V8 powertrain known for its characterful exhaust note and balanced handling. With 65,000 km on the odometer, it has been driven significantly less than the typical GCC annual average, making it a mechanically fresh choice for a second-generation facelift model. The Mulliner trim is the specific specification local buyers look for, as it adds the iconic diamond-quilted leather and specialized interior craftsmanship that defines the Bentley brand. Finished in classic Black, this car sits in the strongest resale category for the region, ensuring better value retention compared to experimental colors. For a GCC owner, this is a versatile daily driver that bridges the gap between a high-performance sports coupe and a long-distance desert highway cruiser.

This Car vs Other 2016 Continental GTs

At 65,000 km, this example has covered roughly 8,000 km per year, which is exceptionally low for a region where 20,000 km is the standard. Most 2016 models currently on the market have surpassed the 100,000 km mark, making this a rare find for a serious collector or daily driver. The Black exterior is the most preferred resale color in the UAE and Saudi markets, providing a liquidity advantage when it comes time to upgrade.

MULLINER vs Lower Trims

The Mulliner Driving Specification elevates the standard V8 cabin with diamond-quilted leather on all seats and door panels, along with a tactile knurled gear lever and drilled alloy sports pedals. Outside, it is distinguished by 21-inch seven-spoke wheels and jewel fuel and oil filler caps that are not standard on the base trim. These artisanal details are highly prized in the GCC market, where interior craftsmanship is a primary driver of used car premiums.

Continental GT vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Aston Martin DB11 or Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe offer similar speed, the Bentley leads with its massive 90-litre fuel tank, providing superior range for cross-border trips between the Emirates and Oman. The all-wheel-drive system offers more consistent high-speed stability on dust-slicked highways than its rear-wheel-drive competitors. Its cabin insulation is specifically engineered to remain whisper-quiet even when facing the high-velocity wind noise common on GCC highways.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.0L V8 is more fuel-efficient than the W12 variant, returning approximately 10.6 L/100km on the combined cycle, which helps manage running costs during city commuting in Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are recommended every 10,000 km or 12 months, with an extensive network of authorized centers available across all major GCC cities. As a GCC-spec model, it avoids the insurance and warranty complications often associated with American or Japanese imports, maintaining a steadier depreciation curve of roughly 12-15% annually.

Performance & Capability

The twin-turbocharged V8 delivers a verified 500 hp and 660 Nm of torque, allowing this 2.3-tonne grand tourer to reach 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds. It features a top speed of 303 km/h, supported by an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission that provides seamless power delivery for highway overtaking. The continuous damping air suspension allows the driver to adjust the ride height, which is useful for navigating varying road surfaces or steep underground parking ramps common in the region.

Comfort & Cabin

The four-seat layout is focused on front-row comfort, featuring heated and ventilated seats that are essential for the GCC summer. The multi-zone climate control is robust enough to cool the cabin rapidly even in 45°C+ heat, while the acoustic glazing keeps the interior isolated from external traffic noise. Every surface is finished in hand-stitched leather or authentic wood veneers, creating an environment far more bespoke than mass-produced luxury rivals.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes a comprehensive eight-airbag system and high-performance carbon-silicon carbide brakes for reliable stopping power from high speeds. The car is equipped with electronic stability control and advanced traction management, providing a safety net during sudden changes in road grip caused by sand or rain. Front and rear parking sensors paired with a rearview camera make maneuvering this large coupe effortless in tight urban environments.

The bottom line

This is a low-mileage, GCC-spec Mulliner that offers the perfect balance of V8 efficiency and ultimate Bentley luxury, making it the ideal choice for a buyer who wants a prestigious daily driver with a secure resale future.
