Summary

This 2016 BMW 428i M Sport remains a benchmark for the compact executive coupe segment, balancing everyday usability with sharp German engineering. As a 10-year-old vehicle in the GCC, it shows higher-than-average mileage, indicating a life spent on the UAE's well-maintained highway networks rather than in harsh stop-start city conditions. The white exterior is a strategic choice for this region, offering superior heat reflection and maintaining the highest resale liquidity in the local market. The M Sport trim is highly sought after in the GCC, providing the aggressive aesthetic and sharper handling that buyers in this segment prioritize. For an enthusiast looking for a driver-focused coupe that handles the heat and long-distance drives across the Emirates with ease, this remains a compelling choice.

This Car vs Other 2016 428is

With 221,000 km, this vehicle has been driven more than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual GCC average for its 10 years of age. While the mileage is high for the year, these engines are noted for their durability when maintained, and the high-speed highway use common in the UAE often results in less mechanical wear than low-mileage city cars. The white exterior is the most popular choice in the local market, ensuring it remains easier to sell than niche colors.

M SPORT vs Lower Trims

The M Sport trim adds significant value over the base or Luxury lines, featuring the Aerodynamics package with more aggressive bumpers and side skirts. Inside, you receive the M leather steering wheel and sport seats with increased lateral support, which are essential for high-speed stability on GCC highways. It also includes the M Sport suspension, providing a flatter cornering profile that standard models lack.

428i vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Audi A5 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe, the 4 Series is widely regarded as the most driver-centric choice in the segment. It leads in chassis balance and steering precision, making it a favorite for those who frequent the winding roads of Jebel Jais or the Jebel Hafeet mountain pass. Its 445-litre boot capacity also makes it more practical for weekend trips between Dubai and Abu Dhabi compared to several rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.0-litre turbocharged engine achieves a combined fuel consumption of approximately 6.3 L/100km, though real-world GCC figures typically hover around 8.5 L/100km in heavy Dubai traffic. Maintenance is supported by an extensive network of authorized service centers and independent BMW specialists across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. As a 10-year-old European coupe, it has already passed its steepest depreciation phase, offering a stable entry point for luxury ownership.

Performance & Capability

Delivering 245 hp, this coupe reaches 100 km/h in a swift 5.8 seconds, ensuring effortless overtaking on the E11 and other major highways. The 8-speed automatic transmission is tuned for rapid shifts in Sport mode while remaining smooth during relaxed cruises. Rear-wheel drive dynamics combined with a near 50:50 weight distribution provide the predictable, engaging handling BMW is famous for in the region.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is tailored for four occupants, featuring a driver-centric cockpit and high-quality insulation that keeps the interior quiet and cool even during peak summer months. BMW’s powerful GCC-spec air conditioning system is designed to handle temperatures exceeding 45°C with ease. Standard features in this trim often include the professional navigation system and a premium audio setup, enhancing long-distance comfort.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes multiple airbags, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Cornering Brake Control (CBC). For GCC highway driving, the 428i features high-performance brakes that provide consistent stopping power in high-temperature conditions. Its rigid body structure earned top safety marks during its production cycle, providing peace of mind for both city and highway travel.

The bottom line

Perfect for the young professional or enthusiast who wants a sharp, German-engineered coupe that has already settled into a stable value bracket. This listing represents a high-spec GCC model that is mechanically ready for its next chapter on the UAE's roads.
