Summary

This Bentley Bentayga First Edition represents a rare opportunity to own a highly exclusive launch variant of the world's first true ultra-luxury SUV. Powered by a massive 600 hp W12, it delivers supercar-level performance in a body designed for effortless long-distance touring across the GCC. As a First Edition, it features bespoke interior details and a higher standard specification than the base models, making it a standout choice for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Silver remains one of the most resilient colors for resale in the local market, ensuring this remains a sound luxury investment despite the mileage. For those seeking the ultimate blend of British craftsmanship and all-terrain capability, this GCC-spec example is perfectly suited for the region's unique driving demands.

This Car vs Other 2017 Bentaygas

With 134,000 km, this vehicle has been used as a genuine grand tourer, which is typical for W12 owners in the GCC who frequently travel between major cities like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Riyadh. While the mileage is higher than occasional weekend cars, the W12 powertrain is engineered for durability over long distances. The silver exterior is a strategic choice for the local market, as it hides dust well and holds value better than more niche colors.

First Edition vs Lower Trims

The First Edition was limited to just 608 units globally and comes equipped with specific Mulliner upgrades that were optional on the standard W12. This includes Union Jack exterior badging, unique 22-inch polished wheels, and a diamond-quilted leather interior with bespoke First Edition embroidery. It also features the touring, urban, and sunshine specifications as standard, which include essential GCC features like adaptive cruise control and improved sun protection.

Bentayga vs Segment Rivals

The Bentayga W12 leads rivals like the Range Rover Autobiography and Mercedes-Maybach GLS in raw performance, offering a higher top speed and a more complex 12-cylinder engine architecture. Its 85-litre fuel tank provides the necessary range for cross-border GCC travel, and its sophisticated air suspension offers a level of high-speed stability that road-biased competitors struggle to match. The cabin's acoustic glass and hand-finished veneers set it apart as a true bespoke luxury product.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the W12 typically averages around 15.5 L/100km, though this can increase in heavy city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are recommended every 16,000 km (10,000 miles) or annually, with a well-established authorized service network across all GCC nations including Al Habtoor Motors and Samaco. As a First Edition, this model follows a slower depreciation curve than standard V8 models due to its limited production and collector status.

Performance & Capability

The 600 hp W12 engine produces a massive 900 Nm of torque, allowing for effortless highway overtaking even at high speeds. The All-Wheel Drive system is paired with Bentley Dynamic Ride, a 48V active roll control system that keeps the SUV flat through corners, providing sports car handling without sacrificing comfort. While capable of light desert excursions, its primary strength lies in its ability to maintain incredible composure during long, high-speed drives between emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

This four-seat configuration provides the ultimate executive experience, featuring twin rear captain's chairs with 18-way power adjustment, ventilation, and massage functions. The quad-zone climate control is specifically engineered to handle extreme summer temperatures, ensuring rapid cabin cooling for both front and rear passengers. Hand-crafted wood veneers and deep-pile carpets create a hushed, insulated environment that remains quiet even at the vehicle's 301 km/h top speed.

Safety

Standard safety features on this First Edition include a 360-degree camera system, Head-Up Display, and Night Vision, which are invaluable for navigating unlit desert highways. The ADAS suite includes Blind Spot Assist and Lane Assist, providing critical support during fast-paced highway commuting. Its heavy unibody construction and advanced stability control systems ensure maximum occupant protection and vehicle composure in all weather conditions.

The bottom line

This is a rare chance to secure a limited-run First Edition Bentayga that has been properly enjoyed as a grand tourer, offering unmatched prestige and W12 power for the discerning GCC buyer.
