Summary

This 2017 BMW M3 is a standout performance buy in the GCC market, combining a striking Red exterior with significantly lower-than-average mileage for a vehicle of this age. While the average nine-year-old car in the region often nears the 200,000 km mark, this example has covered just 60,000 km, preserving its mechanical integrity and cabin condition. The M3 remains the benchmark for performance sedans, offering a sharper, more visceral driving experience than its executive rivals. For the local buyer, the combination of a high-visibility color and rare low mileage represents a strong value-retention case in a market that prizes well-kept German engineering.

This Car vs Other 2017 M3s

With only 60,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has averaged less than 7,000 km per year, which is exceptionally low for the GCC where highway-heavy commutes typically result in much higher annual use. The Red exterior is a bold, high-character choice that stands out against the sea of white and silver models, often attracting a premium from enthusiast buyers at resale. Mechanically, the lower usage means less wear on the cooling system and suspension, both of which are critical for longevity in the local climate.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The M3 represents the absolute peak of the 3 Series lineup, adding an active M differential and adaptive M suspension that are not available on standard models. This trim includes M-specific wider bodywork and a carbon-fiber reinforced plastic roof, reducing the center of gravity for better handling on fast-moving UAE highways. Inside, it upgrades the experience with a dedicated M steering wheel, carbon-fiber interior trim, and the premium Harman Kardon surround sound system as standard equipment.

M3 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Mercedes-AMG C63 and the Audi RS4, the M3 leads with a more focused, track-inspired chassis that feels more connected during spirited drives. Its twin-turbo inline-six is renowned for its rapid torque delivery, providing effortless overtaking power on the E11 or E311. Furthermore, the M3’s dual-clutch transmission offers faster shift speeds than the torque-converter automatics found in many competitors, catering directly to the performance-oriented driver.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption typically averages around 10.5 L/100km, though this will increase in heavy Dubai or Riyadh stop-start traffic where the standard auto start-stop system helps mitigate waste. As a GCC spec vehicle, it benefits from the region's extensive authorized BMW service network, ensuring easier access to specialized M-division parts and certified technicians. While European performance cars experience steeper depreciation than Japanese sedans, the exceptionally low mileage on this specific listing will significantly help it retain value compared to higher-km examples.

Performance & Capability

The 3.0-liter M TwinPower Turbo engine delivers a verified 425 hp, allowing this sedan to hit 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds. The car features specialized cooling systems designed to manage engine temperatures even under the high thermal loads of the GCC summer. Multiple M Drive modes allow the pilot to adjust steering, suspension, and throttle mapping, making it as capable of a comfortable highway cruise to Abu Dhabi as it is a precise run through Jebel Jais.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is tailored for the enthusiast, featuring 10-way power-adjustable heated front seats with driver memory, which are essential for maintaining comfort during long cross-country drives. The dual-zone automatic climate control is powerful enough to handle 45-degree temperatures, while rear AC vents ensure all five passengers remain cool. An 8.8-inch iDrive display provides seamless navigation and connectivity, while the 16-speaker audio system delivers exceptional clarity over road noise.

Safety

This M3 is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including high-performance M compound brakes and Dynamic Stability Control with an M Dynamic Mode for enhanced traction on sandy or dusty surfaces. Standard features include adaptive xenon headlights for superior nighttime visibility on unlit desert roads and a total of six airbags. The rigid passenger cell and advanced braking systems provide peace of mind during high-speed highway commuting.

The bottom line

This is a rare opportunity to own a low-mileage, GCC-spec icon that bridges the gap between a daily executive commuter and a high-performance sports car.
