Summary

This 2017 Mercedes-Benz C300 Coupe offers a striking balance of German engineering and athletic design, making it a standout choice for those seeking a premium daily driver in the GCC. With a powerful 2.0L turbocharged engine producing 245 hp, it provides smooth highway overtaking and a refined urban commute. The deep Blue exterior remains a sought-after aesthetic that holds its appeal well in the local market, while the coupe's sleek silhouette offers a more exclusive feel than the standard sedan. For a buyer in this region, this vehicle provides a high-spec entry point into the Mercedes-Benz lifestyle without the steep depreciation of a brand-new model. It handles the fast-paced driving culture of the UAE with confidence, delivering consistent performance across long-distance inter-city routes.

This Car vs Other 2017 C300s

With 110,000 km on the odometer, this C300 Coupe has been driven approximately 15,000 km per year, which is lower than the typical GCC annual average of 20,000–25,000 km. In a market where high-mileage highway commuters are common, this car presents a balanced mechanical history. The Korean regional spec often provides a high level of interior technology and features similar to European standards, often exceeding the base equipment levels found in some entry-level local versions.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The C300 sits as a significant performance upgrade over the C180 and C200 variants, providing nearly 60 extra horsepower that is immediately noticeable during highway merges. As a C300, it typically includes upgraded LED lighting and a more comprehensive infotainment interface as standard. This trim level is the 'sweet spot' for GCC buyers, offering the premium aesthetic and power expected of the brand without the higher maintenance costs associated with the V6 or AMG models.

C300 vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the BMW 4 Series and Audi A5, the C300 leads with a focus on cabin luxury and isolation from road noise, which is a major benefit during long drives in the UAE summer. Its interior design language remains more modern than many 2017 rivals, featuring higher-quality tactile materials. Additionally, the Mercedes-Benz 9G-TRONIC transmission provides a smoother shifting experience than the sportier but occasionally notched gearboxes of its competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 8.5 L/100km, which is efficient for a performance-oriented coupe on long GCC highway runs. Maintenance is well-supported by a vast network of authorized and specialist service centers across the UAE, ensuring that parts availability is rarely an issue. While non-GCC spec cars typically see a faster initial depreciation, this model's strong popularity ensures a steady pool of buyers in the secondary market. Regular service intervals every 15,000 km help maintain its value retention over time.

Performance & Capability

The C300 delivers a 0–100 km/h time of 6.0 seconds, offering punchy acceleration that is ideal for the fast-flowing traffic of Dubai and Riyadh. Its rear-wheel-drive configuration provides a classic sports car feel, with a chassis tuned for stability at higher cruising speeds. With multiple drive modes including Comfort and Sport+, the driver can easily adjust the vehicle's character to suit either a relaxed commute or a more engaged weekend drive through the Hajar Mountains.

Comfort & Cabin

The 4-seat layout is designed for executive comfort, featuring highly adjustable front seats that provide excellent support during long journeys. The air conditioning system is engineered to maintain a chilled cabin even in peak summer heat, and the cabin insulation effectively blocks out external wind noise. Premium materials throughout the dashboard and center console reinforce the luxury experience, while the 400-litre boot offers practical space for luggage or golf clubs.

Safety

This C300 comes equipped with an extensive safety suite including Attention Assist, Collision Prevention Assist Plus, and multiple airbags designed to protect all four occupants. The electronic stability program and advanced braking systems are particularly effective on sand-dusted road surfaces common in the region. Blind-spot monitoring and high-performance LED headlights provide added confidence for nighttime highway driving between emirates.

The bottom line

Perfect for the professional seeking a stylish and powerful daily driver, this C300 Coupe offers a lower-than-average mileage opportunity in a classic color that looks as good in the office parking lot as it does on a weekend getaway.
