• Extensive GCC authorised service network
• Body-on-frame construction

Summary

This GCC-spec Hilux represents one of the most reliable and sought-after pickups in the region, offering a perfect balance of utility and daily drivability. With just 65,000 km, this vehicle has seen significantly less use than the typical GCC average for its age, making it a rare find for those prioritizing long-term mechanical health. The black exterior remains a resilient choice for resale, while the GLX trim provides the essential comforts needed for both site work and urban commuting. Powered by the dependable 2.7L petrol engine, it is perfectly suited for the region's climate and fuel availability. This is a robust opportunity for anyone needing a proven workhorse that hasn't been over-extended.

This Car vs Other 2017 Hiluxs

At 65,000 km, this Hilux has covered less than 10,000 km per year, which is exceptionally low compared to the GCC annual average of 20,000–25,000 km. Most pickups from this era are either high-mileage fleet vehicles or heavy-duty desert explorers, whereas this unit suggests a far more light-duty lifestyle. The combination of low mileage and the GCC specification ensures a level of mechanical preservation rarely seen in 2017 models.

GLX vs Lower Trims

The GLX trim serves as the ideal mid-tier selection, bridging the gap between basic commercial variants and the premium lifestyle trims. It adds essential convenience features over the base models, including improved cabin materials and key power features that enhance the daily driving experience. For GCC buyers, the GLX provides the durability of a work truck without the bare-bones interior found in fleet-entry specs.

Hilux vs Segment Rivals

The Hilux competes directly with the Mitsubishi L200 and Nissan Navara, where it typically leads in long-term value retention and parts availability across the GCC. While rivals might offer different suspension tunings, the Hilux is preferred locally for its superior air conditioning performance and the sheer density of its service network. Its 80-litre fuel tank also provides a significant range advantage for cross-emirate travel compared to smaller-capacity competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Ownership costs are remarkably predictable due to the massive availability of both genuine and OEM parts throughout the UAE and wider GCC. The 2.7L petrol engine is designed to run efficiently on local fuel grades, with real-world consumption averaging approximately 11.0 to 11.5 L/100km in mixed conditions. Toyota remains the regional leader in resale value, typically retaining a much higher percentage of its purchase price after three years compared to American or European rivals.

Performance & Capability

Built on a rugged body-on-frame chassis, this Hilux is engineered to handle both heavy payloads and challenging desert terrain. The four-wheel-drive system ensures confidence when moving from paved highways to sandy job sites or weekend camping spots. With a 2.7L inline-4 engine, the focus is on consistent torque delivery and cooling reliability, ensuring the vehicle maintains performance even during the peak of the GCC summer.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for five occupants with a focus on ergonomics and durability, featuring materials that resist wear from heat and dust. The air conditioning system is specifically tuned for the Middle East, providing rapid cabin cooling even after the vehicle has been parked in direct sun. Rear passengers benefit from a surprisingly spacious bench, making it a viable option for small crews or family outings between cities.

Safety

Standard safety features on this GCC GLX trim include dual front airbags and an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) to ensure stability during sudden stops. The robust ladder-frame construction provides a solid safety cell, while the high seating position offers excellent visibility for navigating fast-moving highway traffic. Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) helps manage balance when the bed is loaded with cargo.

The bottom line

This is a low-mileage, GCC-spec workhorse that offers maximum peace of mind for a buyer who values legendary Toyota reliability and strong future resale value.
