Summary

This 2018 Maserati Ghibli GranLusso presents a compelling alternative to the standard German executive sedans, offering Italian soul and a Ferrari-developed engine note. With 8 years of age, its mileage reflects a vehicle that has been enjoyed on the open road, a common trait for luxury grand tourers in this region. The GranLusso trim specifically elevates the cabin with high-end materials that provide a cooler, more tactile experience during the intense summer months compared to standard leather. Finished in white, the car holds the most desirable resale color for the UAE and wider GCC market, ensuring better value retention. For a buyer seeking a distinctive daily driver that balances performance with high-end luxury, this Ghibli remains a standout choice.

This Car vs Other 2018 Ghiblis

While many 2018 models in the market are base variants, this GranLusso represents the high-luxury branch of the mid-cycle refresh. Its white exterior is a strategic choice for the GCC, naturally reflecting heat better than darker tones and maintaining the highest demand in the used market. The mileage is consistent with a car used for inter-emirate commuting, where high-speed highway miles often result in less wear on the transmission and brakes than stop-start city driving.

GranLusso vs Lower Trims

The GranLusso trim is a significant step up from the base Ghibli, adding luxury features that are highly valued in the local market. It includes ventilated front seats, which are essential for UAE summers, and soft-close doors for a more refined executive feel. The interior is further distinguished by open-pore Radica wood trim and a premium Harman Kardon sound system, providing a cabin environment that feels far more exclusive than the standard entry-level model.

Ghibli vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the BMW 5 Series or Mercedes E-Class, the Ghibli offers a more emotive driving experience thanks to its V6 engine character and sharper steering. It leads in visual presence and exhaust note, offering an exotic appeal that the German rivals lack. The 80-litre fuel tank is also generous, providing long-distance range for cross-border trips or long highway runs between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 11.0 L/100km, which is competitive for a high-performance twin-turbo V6. Maserati authorized service centers are well-established in the UAE and major GCC cities like Riyadh, ensuring professional maintenance is always accessible. While European luxury sedans typically depreciate by 12-18% annually in the GCC, the unique Italian branding of the Ghibli helps it retain a niche following that stabilizes long-term value.

Performance & Capability

The 350 hp twin-turbo V6 delivers an impressive top speed of 267 km/h, making highway overtaking effortless. The rear-wheel-drive setup provides a classic sports sedan balance that feels agile on the well-maintained roads of the UAE. With 500 Nm of torque available early in the rev range, the car offers immediate response when exiting junctions or merging onto fast-moving motorways.

Comfort & Cabin

The GranLusso cabin is designed for long-distance comfort, featuring 12-way power-adjustable comfort seats with heating and ventilation. The dual-zone climate control is robust, capable of maintaining a cool environment even when outside temperatures peak. Acoustic glass helps insulate the interior from road noise and heat, while the Radica wood steering wheel provides a premium touchpoint for every journey.

Safety

This trim features a comprehensive safety suite including blind-spot monitoring, which is vital for multi-lane highway driving in the Gulf. The 2018 refresh also introduced an updated electric power steering system that enables active driver-assistance functions like lane-keeping assist. Standard stability control and a high-performance braking system ensure the car remains composed on both hot asphalt and sand-dusted surfaces.

The bottom line

This Ghibli GranLusso is perfect for the executive who wants an Italian exotic that is practical enough for the daily commute. In this color and trim, it represents a high-style opportunity to own a Ferrari-powered sedan that thrives in the GCC climate.
