Summary

This 2018 Mercedes-Benz E300 Convertible in Burgundy is a standout choice in the GCC market, offering a mileage of 60,000 km that is significantly lower than the regional average for its age. As an AMG trim, it bridges the gap between executive comfort and sporty presence, a combination highly valued by buyers in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The burgundy exterior is a sophisticated alternative to standard shades, maintaining strong aesthetic appeal and resale desirability in the local secondary market. Compared to rivals, the E-Class Cabriolet is celebrated for its 'Aircap' and 'Airscarf' systems, which extend the convertible season in the GCC by managing cabin airflow and temperature effectively. For the discerning owner, this listing represents a well-preserved example of a premium grand tourer that handles both city commutes and inter-emirate highway drives with effortless grace.

This Car vs Other 2018 E300s

With only 60,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven approximately 10,000 km per year, which is less than half of the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen in the GCC. This low-usage history makes it a mechanically superior prospect compared to higher-mileage highway units common in the region. The Burgundy exterior is a rare, premium choice that distinguishes itself from the common white and silver fleet, often commanding a quicker sale among enthusiasts.

AMG vs Lower Trims

The AMG trim adds significant value over the standard Avantgarde or Exclusive lines, featuring more aggressive body styling, larger 19 or 20-inch alloy wheels, and a sport-tuned suspension that improves high-speed stability. Inside, you benefit from the AMG flat-bottom steering wheel and brushed aluminum pedals, alongside standard premium features like the 360° camera and the Burmester surround sound system. GCC buyers prioritize these visual and tech upgrades, as they directly contribute to the car's 'curb appeal' and long-term value retention.

E300 vs Segment Rivals

The E300 competes directly with the BMW 4 Series Convertible and Audi A5 Cabriolet, but it leads the segment in terms of interior technology and rear-seat space. Its dual 12.3-inch widescreen displays offer a more futuristic cockpit experience than the rival systems of the same year. Furthermore, Mercedes-Benz's air management technology makes it a more practical year-round convertible in the GCC's heat compared to its German peers.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.0-litre turbocharged engine delivers a balanced fuel consumption of approximately 7.4 L/100km on a combined cycle, making it efficient for a luxury grand tourer. Maintenance is handled through the extensive Mercedes-Benz authorized service network across the UAE, KSA, and Kuwait, with recommended service intervals typically occurring every 15,000 km. Being a GCC-spec vehicle, it retains a value premium of roughly 15–20% over non-regional imports and remains eligible for official service packages and easy parts sourcing.

Performance & Capability

The E300 is capable of a electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h, providing ample power for confident overtaking on the E11 or other major GCC highways. The 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission ensures smooth shifts, while the 370 Nm of torque is available from just 1,300 rpm for immediate low-end response. Despite its convertible nature, the chassis remains stiff and composed, offering a refined ride that filters out road noise during long-distance travel.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a masterclass in luxury, featuring 64-color ambient lighting and premium materials that stay cool under the intense GCC sun. While the input specifies two seats, the E-Class Cabriolet is a genuine four-seater with a wind-deflector system that allows for quiet conversations even at highway speeds with the roof down. The dual-zone climate control is specifically calibrated for high-ambient temperatures, ensuring the cabin reaches a comfortable temperature quickly after being parked outside.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive on the AMG trim, featuring the Pre-Safe system, Active Brake Assist, and Blind Spot Monitoring which are essential for navigating fast-moving multi-lane traffic. The car is equipped with pop-up roll bars and a reinforced A-pillar specifically designed for convertible safety. Additional features like the 360° camera and Parking Pilot make maneuvering in tight urban parking spaces effortless.

The bottom line

For a buyer seeking a low-mileage, GCC-spec luxury convertible that balances daily usability with a prestigious presence, this E300 AMG is a top-tier opportunity.
