Summary

This GCC-spec V 250 AVANTGARDE LWB is a standout choice for those seeking executive-level transport with a versatile eight-seat configuration. With just 70,300 km, its mileage is significantly lower than typical 2018 models in the region, which often exceed 120,000 km due to frequent inter-emirate travel. The black-on-black color combination remains one of the most desirable palettes for resale in the UAE and Saudi markets, maintaining its professional aesthetic. Positioned as a premium MPV, it offers a level of cabin refinement that traditional family vans simply cannot match. For a GCC owner, the robust dual-zone climate control and the peace of mind of local regional specifications make this a highly practical luxury workhorse.

This Car vs Other 2018 V 250s

At 70,300 km, this vehicle has been driven approximately 11,500 km per year, which is nearly half the GCC annual average of 20,000–25,000 km. Being a GCC-spec model, it bypasses the potential cooling and radio frequency issues often found in European imports. The black exterior is a high-demand choice in the local market, ensuring it holds its value better than more unconventional shades.

AVANTGARDE LWB vs Lower Trims

The AVANTGARDE trim elevates the V-Class experience with standard 18-inch alloy wheels, the LED Intelligent Light System, and high-quality Lugano leather upholstery. Unlike the base model, this trim includes Agility Control suspension with selective damping and a 360° camera system, which is essential for navigating a vehicle of this length in tight Dubai or Riyadh parking spaces.

V 250 vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Toyota Previa or Kia Carnival offer family utility, the V 250 leads with a car-like interior derived from the E-Class and a significantly more prestigious brand presence. It features a superior 70-litre fuel tank that is ideal for long desert highway stretches between Abu Dhabi and Muscat, offering a range that typically exceeds its petrol-powered competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.0L petrol engine is specifically tuned for GCC conditions, avoiding the fuel-grade sensitivities sometimes seen in imported diesel variants. Authorized Mercedes-Benz service centers are widely available across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, with recommended Service A and B intervals every 15,000 km. The V-Class maintains strong resale value in the region, particularly among luxury tour operators and large families, typically depreciating at a slower rate than other high-end European MPVs.

Performance & Capability

The turbocharged 4-cylinder engine produces 211 hp and 350 Nm of torque, providing smooth acceleration for highway overtaking even when fully loaded with eight passengers. Its rear-wheel-drive chassis and 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission deliver a refined, stable ride at typical GCC highway speeds of 120–140 km/h. Multiple driving modes—including Comfort and Sport—allow you to adjust the damping and throttle response to suit city traffic or open-road cruising.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the Long Wheelbase (LWB) configuration provides genuine legroom for all three rows, with second-row captain chairs that offer executive-level comfort. The cabin is equipped with a high-output air conditioning system featuring dedicated rear vents to combat extreme summer heat. Acoustic glass and premium leather finishes ensure the interior remains a quiet, sophisticated environment for long-distance family travel or professional shuttle use.

Safety

Standard safety features include Mercedes-Benz Attention Assist, Crosswind Assist, and Blind Spot Monitoring, which are vital for safety on multi-lane GCC highways. The vehicle is also equipped with a 360° camera and Active Parking Assist to manage its larger footprint. A comprehensive airbag suite and ISOFIX points across the rear rows ensure maximum protection for all eight occupants.

The bottom line

Perfect for executive transport or large families, this low-mileage GCC-spec V 250 offers the ideal balance of German luxury and local-market practicality.
