Summary

This GCC-spec Mercedes-Benz V 250 Avantgarde is a standout choice for those seeking a premium multi-purpose vehicle that bridges the gap between family transport and executive shuttle. Finished in Silver, the market's most resilient resale color, it offers a refined 211 hp petrol engine that provides smoother city performance than its diesel counterparts commonly found in other regions. With the AVANTGARDE/E trim, you benefit from a high-specification cabin that elevates the travel experience for all eight passengers. For a buyer in the GCC, this vehicle represents a rare balance of German engineering prestige and the practical seating capacity required for large family road trips or high-end hospitality. Its status as a regional spec vehicle ensures the cooling systems and electrical components are optimized for the extreme summer temperatures across the Emirates and beyond.

This Car vs Other 2023 V 250s

With 77,039 km on the odometer, this V 250 has been utilized at a rate consistent with typical GCC executive transport, where long highway commutes between cities are standard. The Silver exterior is the highest-performing resale color in the regional market, offering superior heat reflection and maintaining a cleaner appearance during dusty conditions. Unlike many imports, this is a genuine GCC-spec vehicle, ensuring full compatibility with local authorized service centers and regional warranty standards.

AVANTGARDE/E vs Lower Trims

The AVANTGARDE/E trim significantly upgrades the standard V-Class experience by adding the full Parking Package with a 360° camera, an essential feature for navigating a vehicle of this footprint in tight urban parking structures. Inside, it replaces standard materials with Lugano leather upholstery and adds the EASY-ENTRY seat rail system, allowing for rapid reconfiguration of the eight-seat cabin. You also receive enhanced THERMOTRONIC climate control with dedicated rear zones, which is a critical upgrade for maintaining passenger comfort during peak GCC summers.

V 250 vs Segment Rivals

When compared to rivals like the Toyota Alphard or Honda Odyssey, the V 250 leads with its European driving refinement and a noticeably wider cabin that offers superior shoulder room for all three rows. Its rear-wheel-drive architecture provides a tighter turning circle than many front-drive competitors, aiding maneuverability in city traffic. Furthermore, the V-Class offers a more robust towing capacity and a higher level of high-speed stability, making it the preferred choice for cross-border travel between Dubai and Riyadh.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine is optimized for high-octane fuel common in the GCC, offering a smoother and quieter idle than diesel variants. Service intervals typically fall every 15,000 km, and with one of the most extensive authorized service networks in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, maintenance is straightforward. The V-Class holds its value better than almost any other European van in the region, benefiting from high demand in the luxury tourism and executive transport sectors.

Performance & Capability

The 211 hp engine delivers a top speed of 206 km/h, ensuring effortless cruising on the UAE's fast-moving multi-lane highways. With a 0-100 km/h time of 9.1 seconds, it offers surprisingly agile acceleration for a vehicle of its size, making lane changes and merging safe and predictable. The 70-litre fuel tank provides an extensive range, reducing the need for frequent stops during long-distance desert drives.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a masterclass in modularity, featuring an eight-seat layout that can be easily adjusted to prioritize either luggage space or legroom. Ambient lighting with 64 colors creates a premium atmosphere for night drives, while the acoustic glass insulation keeps the interior quiet and isolated from road noise. The inclusion of powerful rear vents ensures that even passengers in the third row remain cool during the hottest months of the year.

Safety

Safety is managed by a comprehensive suite including Blind Spot Assist and Lane Keeping Assist, which are particularly valuable for the high-speed highway traffic common in the GCC. The 360° camera system provides a bird's-eye view to eliminate blind spots when reversing, and multiple airbags protect occupants across all three rows. Mercedes-Benz’s PRE-SAFE system is standard on this trim, automatically initiating protective measures if a collision is detected as imminent.

The bottom line

Perfect for the growing family or a professional fleet, this V 250 AVANTGARDE/E offers the prestige of a Mercedes-Benz sedan with the unmatched utility of a luxury van, making it a highly secure investment in the GCC market.
