Summary

This 2018 Phantom Extended Wheelbase represents a rare opportunity to own a meticulously maintained example of the world’s most prestigious executive sedan with exceptionally low mileage. In the GCC market, where high-use highway driving is the norm, finding a vehicle of this vintage with just 17,000 km is a distinct advantage for both long-term reliability and future resale value. The white exterior is the most sought-after color for luxury assets in the Gulf region, offering superior heat reflection and the strongest possible secondary market demand in Dubai and Riyadh. While many rivals aim for tech-heavy interiors, this model focuses on a peerless rear-cabin experience that remains unmatched for chauffeured travel between emirates. With its effortless V12 power and whisper-quiet operation, it stands alone as a statement of success. For a serious buyer in the region, the combination of the extended wheelbase and remarkably low usage makes this one of the most compelling luxury listings currently available.

This Car vs Other 2018 Phantoms

When comparing this specific 2018 model to others available in the GCC, the primary differentiator is the remarkably low mileage. While the average annual use for a luxury vehicle in the UAE and Saudi Arabia typically ranges between 20,000 and 25,000 kilometers, this car has covered only 17,000 kilometers in six years, meaning it has essentially been preserved in showroom condition. The white exterior finish is not just a matter of taste but a strategic choice for the region, as it is the most resilient color against the intense Gulf sun and consistently commands the highest resale premiums. Most 2018 examples on the market have already entered their second or third major service cycle, but this car’s limited use suggests a much fresher mechanical state. It offers a unique 'time-capsule' quality that is increasingly difficult to find for this specific generation. Choosing this listing means acquiring a vehicle that has bypassed the typical wear and tear associated with long-range regional commuting.

EWB vs Lower Trims

Choosing the Extended Wheelbase (EWB) trim over the standard version fundamentally changes the purpose and presence of the vehicle. The primary advantage is an additional 250mm of rear legroom, which transforms the back of the cabin into a private lounge specifically designed for the GCC’s chauffeured executive culture. Unlike the standard model, the EWB includes the 'Serenity Seat' configuration as a priority, featuring reclining functions and calf supports that are essential for comfort during long drives between cities like Abu Dhabi and Dubai. You also benefit from enhanced sound insulation and a more sophisticated rear-seat entertainment suite that often comes as an expensive option on shorter trims. The EWB also features larger rear doors, which utilize the iconic rear-hinged 'coach door' design to its maximum effect, allowing for more graceful ingress and egress. This trim is widely recognized as the definitive version of the model, ensuring it remains more desirable to high-net-worth buyers at the time of resale.

Phantom vs Segment Rivals

In the upper echelons of the luxury market, this model is frequently compared to the Bentley Mulsanne and the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. However, this vehicle leads the segment in terms of sheer road presence and physical dimensions, offering a significantly larger footprint than the S-Class. While the Bentley focuses on a more driver-centric experience, this model is engineered around 'waftability,' using a unique satellite-aided transmission that prepares for the road ahead—a feature that provides a smoother ride on GCC highways than any rival. The cabin cooling capacity is also engineered to a higher standard, ensuring the interior reaches a comfortable temperature faster than its European competitors during a peak Dubai summer. Furthermore, the brand's bespoke architecture ensures a level of exclusivity that mass-produced platforms from other luxury brands cannot replicate. It maintains a stature that ensures it is welcomed at the most prestigious valet stands across the region, from the Burj Al Arab to the Ritz-Carlton Riyadh.

Running Costs & Resale

Ownership of a vehicle in this category involves a specialized maintenance schedule, with service intervals typically occurring every 12 months or 15,000 kilometers. Authorized service centers are well-established in major GCC hubs, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Kuwait City, ensuring that expert care is always accessible. The 6.75-liter V12 is designed to run on high-octane Super 98 petrol, which is readily available at all regional stations. Real-world fuel consumption reflects the vehicle's substantial mass, averaging around 22 liters per 100km in city traffic, though this improves significantly during steady highway cruising. While luxury cars in this segment generally see a depreciation of 12-15% annually in the GCC, the EWB trim and the white-on-white color combination help this car hold its value better than smaller-engine rivals. Given its 'Other' regional spec, buyers should verify local warranty compatibility, though the brand's global parts logistics ensure that any required components can be sourced rapidly within the UAE.

Performance & Capability

Despite its focused pursuit of comfort, the 563-horsepower V12 engine allows this sedan to reach 100 km/h in just over 5 seconds, which is impressive for a vehicle of this scale. The 900 Nm of torque is available almost instantly, providing the effortless overtaking power necessary for the fast-paced multi-lane highways of the UAE. The 'Magic Carpet Ride' air suspension system utilizes a camera to scan the road surface, adjusting the damping in real-time to neutralize imperfections, making it the most comfortable long-distance cruiser in the world. While not intended for off-road use, the rear-wheel-drive system is paired with advanced traction control that manages sand-dusted asphalt with ease. The car feels exceptionally stable at the 140 km/h speed limits found on many regional motorways, with the steering remaining light yet precise for city maneuvering. The top speed is electronically governed to 250 km/h, ensuring it can maintain high-speed trans-border journeys with total composure.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is a four-seat sanctuary featuring the highest grade of leather and genuine wood veneers, hand-finished to a standard that exceeds any other automotive brand. For the GCC climate, the four-zone climate control system is one of the most powerful ever engineered, supplemented by ventilated and massaging seats that are essential during the summer months. The EWB configuration ensures that even the tallest passengers have room to fully stretch out in the rear, while the thick lambswool floor mats and double-glazed windows provide total isolation from external heat and road noise. The standard audio system is a bespoke 18-speaker arrangement that provides a concert-hall experience, perfect for long drives across the Emirates. Privacy is maintained through electric curtains and deep-tinted glass, creating a mobile office or relaxation space that feels entirely removed from the outside world. The 'Gallery' dashboard allows for a personalized art display, further emphasizing that this is a bespoke luxury environment rather than a standard car interior.

Safety

Safety in this vehicle is handled by an array of sophisticated driver assistance systems tailored for the modern driving environment. High-resolution Night Vision and Vision Assist systems are particularly valuable for detecting obstacles on unlit desert roads after dark. The adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning systems make the long stretches of highway between major GCC cities much less fatiguing for the driver. A four-camera system provides a panoramic 360-degree view, making it surprisingly easy to park this long-wheelbase sedan in tight city spaces. The car is also equipped with a professional-grade head-up display that keeps vital information directly in the driver's line of sight, which is a critical safety feature when navigating high-speed regional traffic. Beyond active tech, the aluminum spaceframe architecture provides a rigid and incredibly safe shell for all four occupants, backed by a comprehensive suite of smart airbags.

The bottom line

This Phantom EWB is the definitive choice for a buyer who requires the absolute maximum in rear-seat luxury and prestige. Its exceptionally low mileage and market-preferred color make it a secure investment for an executive or collector in the GCC.
