Highlights

• 0–100 km/h in 2.9 seconds
• Top speed of 340 km/h
• Naturally aspirated V12 engine

Summary

This 2019 Ferrari 812 Superfast represents the peak of naturally aspirated V12 engineering, delivering 800 hp without the assistance of turbos or hybrid systems. With mileage that sits slightly above average for the GCC collector market, this car has been driven enough to ensure its complex mechanical systems stay active while remaining in prime condition for its next owner. The black exterior is a timeless choice that maintains exceptionally high resale strength in the UAE, avoiding the price volatility of more niche seasonal colors. As one of the fastest front-mid-engine grand tourers ever produced, it offers a rare combination of long-distance comfort and track-ready performance. For a GCC buyer, the primary consideration is the European specification, which offers high factory equipment levels but requires verifying local service contract compatibility at Al Tayer or similar authorized centers.

This Car vs Other 2019 812s

With 38,418 km on the odometer, this 812 Superfast has covered more ground than the typical 'garage queen' examples often found in UAE showrooms, yet it remains well within the expected usage for a well-maintained five-year-old vehicle. This usage often indicates a car that has been regularly cycled and serviced, which is mechanically preferable to long-term storage in high-temperature environments. The black-on-black configuration is highly sought after in the regional used market, ensuring it remains a liquid asset compared to brighter, less conventional shades.

SUPERFAST vs Lower Trims

As the primary model in the 812 range, the Superfast established the benchmark with the Virtual Short Wheelbase 2.0 rear-wheel steering system, which significantly aids maneuverability in tight urban settings like Downtown Dubai. While the GTS offers a retractable hardtop, the Superfast coupe is preferred by enthusiasts for its lighter curb weight and superior structural rigidity during high-speed cornering. This specific trim includes the full 800 hp F140 GA engine, providing a more raw and visceral power delivery than the smaller-capacity V8 models in the Ferrari lineup.

812 vs Segment Rivals

The 812 Superfast is frequently cross-shopped with the Lamborghini Aventador S and the Aston Martin DBS. While the Aventador offers a more aggressive mid-engine aesthetic, the Ferrari leads in daily usability and luggage space, making it far better suited for cross-border drives between the Emirates. Its 6.5L naturally aspirated V12 provides a distinct linear power delivery and high-revving soundtrack that turbo-charged rivals like the DBS cannot replicate.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages roughly 16.1 L/100km combined, though city driving in heavy GCC traffic will see this figure rise significantly. Service intervals are typically annual or every 20,000 km, and while this car is a European spec, it still benefits from Ferrari's global reputation for mechanical reliability in high-revving engines. Authorized service centers are well-established in major hubs like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Riyadh, ensuring parts and specialized technicians are always accessible. Depreciation for the 812 has stabilized as it is now recognized as one of the last pure, non-hybrid V12 Ferraris, helping it hold value better than many contemporary supercars.

Performance & Capability

The 812 Superfast reaches 100 km/h in a staggering 2.9 seconds, a feat enabled by its sophisticated F1 dual-clutch transmission and rear-wheel steering. On the UAE’s expansive highway network, the car feels remarkably stable at high speeds thanks to its active aerodynamics and vortex generators. The 800 hp output is delivered with a precision that allows for confident overtaking, while the multiple Manettino drive modes allow you to soften the suspension for the long commute from Dubai to Abu Dhabi.

Comfort & Cabin

The two-seat cabin is designed around the driver, featuring a digital cockpit that integrates all vital performance data into the instrument cluster. Despite its supercar performance, the air conditioning system is robust enough to handle the peak of the GCC summer, and the leather-trimmed seats offer excellent support for long-distance grand touring. The European spec often includes high-end materials such as Alcantara and carbon fiber accents, creating a refined atmosphere that remains insulated from outside road and heat noise.

Safety

Safety is managed by an advanced suite of electronic controls, including Side Slip Control (SSC) 5.0, which helps manage the massive torque output on varying road surfaces. Standard equipment includes high-performance carbon-ceramic brakes for fade-free stopping power, front and rear parking sensors, and a multi-stage traction control system. These features are particularly valuable on sandy or dusty road surfaces common in the region, ensuring the car remains composed even under heavy acceleration.

The bottom line

This 812 Superfast is the ideal choice for a collector or enthusiast who wants the definitive V12 Ferrari experience in a color that guarantees long-term resale appeal. It represents a rare opportunity to own a modern classic that is as capable on the Autodrome as it is comfortable on the highway.
