Summary

This 2019 Grand Cherokee Limited strikes a perfect balance for the GCC market, offering the preferred 3.6L V6 engine that is easier to maintain than the V8 while still providing plenty of power for highway overtaking. White remains the strongest resale color in the region, reflecting heat efficiently during the intense summer months. With 125,000 km, this vehicle has been driven at a standard pace for the UAE, where longer commutes between cities are common. As a Limited trim, it elevates the ownership experience with leather interior and upgraded tech, making it a sophisticated yet rugged choice for both daily commutes and weekend family getaways.

This Car vs Other 2019 Grand Cherokees

At 125,000 km, this Jeep sits right at the average for a 2019 model in the GCC, where 20,000 to 25,000 km per year is the standard driving pattern. The white exterior is the most sought-after color for resale in the local market, ensuring better value retention compared to darker shades. Being a GCC-spec vehicle, it features the necessary cooling and AC systems required to withstand the region's extreme 45°C+ summer peaks.

Limited vs Lower Trims

The Limited trim is a significant upgrade over the base Laredo, adding essential luxury features that GCC buyers value, such as a power liftgate and premium leather upholstery. It introduces driver seat memory settings and heated front seats, along with 18-inch wheels that provide a more commanding road presence. Furthermore, it includes remote start, allowing you to cool the cabin before entering—a vital feature for the local climate.

Grand Cherokee vs Segment Rivals

The Grand Cherokee stands out against rivals like the Ford Explorer and Toyota Prado by offering a more car-like, refined on-road ride thanks to its monocoque chassis, without sacrificing the towing power Jeeps are known for. Its 93-litre fuel tank is one of the largest in its class, providing superior range for long cross-border drives to Oman or Saudi Arabia. The interior infotainment is often cited as more intuitive than contemporary Japanese competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.6L V6 typically averages around 10.4L/100km on a combined cycle, though GCC city traffic may push this higher. Service intervals are generally every 10,000 to 12,000 km, and with a vast network of authorized centers across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, parts are readily available. The Grand Cherokee retains its value well in the GCC, typically depreciating slower than European luxury SUVs due to its reputation for mechanical durability.

Performance & Capability

The 3.6L Pentastar V6 delivers a reliable 286 hp and 347 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h time of approximately 9.0 seconds. Its Quadra-Trac II 4WD system and 218 mm of ground clearance make it highly capable for light desert exploration and gravel tracks. For those with lifestyle needs, it offers a robust 2,812 kg towing capacity, perfect for hauling jet skis or small campers for weekend trips.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for 5-seat comfort, featuring dual-zone automatic climate control with dedicated rear vents to ensure all passengers stay cool during the summer. The Limited trim’s leather-trimmed seats and 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen offer a premium feel that rivals executive sedans. Acoustic glass helps keep the cabin remarkably quiet, shielding occupants from road noise during long-distance highway cruising between Emirates.

Safety

This Limited trim comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including Blind-Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-Path Detection, which are essential for navigating busy multi-lane highways like Sheikh Zayed Road. It also features Electronic Stability Control and Hill Start Assist to maintain composure on varied surfaces. The standard ParkView rear backup camera and ParkSense rear park-assist make maneuvering this midsize SUV into tight mall parking spots effortless.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec Grand Cherokee Limited is the ideal choice for a professional or family looking for American luxury and genuine capability with a service-friendly V6 powertrain.
