Summary

This 2019 Lexus IS300 Elegant is a standout choice in the pre-owned market, combining Lexus's legendary reliability with a refined silver finish that excels in GCC resale value. With 97,000 km over 7 years, it sits comfortably within the expected mileage for a well-maintained executive sedan in the region. The Elegant trim balances daily efficiency with premium touches, offering a more luxurious cabin experience than the base models. For GCC buyers, the combination of a turbocharged powertrain for highway overtaking and a cooled interior makes it a perfect companion for both city commutes and long inter-emirate drives. Lexus's strong service presence across the UAE and wider GCC ensures long-term peace of mind that German rivals often struggle to match.

This Car vs Other 2019 IS300s

With 97,000 km on the odometer, this IS300 has averaged roughly 13,800 km per year, which is significantly lower than the GCC average of 20,000–25,000 km. The silver exterior is a high-demand color in the local market, offering superior heat reflection and maintaining strong resale appeal. Being a GCC-spec vehicle, it features the cooling and filtration systems specifically designed for the region's extreme summer conditions.

Elegant vs Lower Trims

The Elegant trim provides a significant step up from the base model, introducing the 10-speaker Lexus Premium Audio system and enhanced interior materials. GCC buyers will appreciate the addition of more sophisticated climate control features and power-adjustable seating, which are often limited on entry-level versions. It bridges the gap between the functional base trim and the aggressive F-Sport, focusing on comfort and refinement.

IS300 vs Segment Rivals

The IS300 competes directly with the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4, leading the segment in long-term reliability and lower maintenance costs. While European rivals focus on high-tech complexity, the Lexus offers a 66-litre fuel tank and a robust turbocharged engine optimized for high-temperature durability. Its cabin insulation and air conditioning performance remain the benchmark for handling the intense GCC summer heat.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel consumption for the 2.0L turbo averages approximately 7.0 to 8.2 L/100km on the highway, though GCC stop-start traffic typically sees city figures between 9.5 and 12.5 L/100km. Service intervals are recommended every 10,000 km at authorized Al-Futtaim Lexus centers in the UAE or similar networks across the GCC. Lexus models in the GCC typically retain 8–10% more value annually compared to their European counterparts, making this a highly stable financial investment.

Performance & Capability

The 241 hp turbocharged engine delivers a smooth 350 Nm of torque, enabling a verified 0–100 km/h time of 7.0 seconds. The 8-speed automatic transmission is specifically tuned for effortless highway cruising, providing plenty of power for overtaking at speed. The rear-wheel-drive architecture maintains the classic sport-sedan feel, offering precise handling on well-maintained UAE highways.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the outside environment, featuring dual-zone automatic climate control and Lexus's signature acoustic glass to minimize road noise. Standard seating for five is finished in high-quality NuLuxe trim, designed to withstand the wear of high-temperature GCC climates. The 10-speaker premium audio system and integrated 7-inch display ensure every long-distance journey is well-connected and comfortable.

Safety

This IS300 comes standard with 10 airbags and the Lexus Safety System+, which includes adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning—essential for long desert highway drives. It also features a high-resolution backup camera and tire pressure monitoring, providing vital alerts in fluctuating regional temperatures. The rigid chassis and stability control systems are specifically calibrated to handle the high speeds and sandy surfaces often encountered in GCC driving.

The bottom line

This IS300 Elegant is the ideal opportunity for a professional looking for a reliable, silver-spec luxury sedan with below-average mileage and full GCC compatibility.
